The beach was cold and lonely when I came upon the child weeping.
"Please sir," she said, "the beautiful ship with all its sails, flags and brightness has gone away and will never come back." We both gazed toward the horizon where this wonderful craft she spoke of was about to fade away. Soon it was no more. "Goodbye," we said together, and then there was nothing. But as we stood in our pain and sadness, we could hear faintly the sound of applause, jubilation and welcoming.
It was then we realized that as we had said farewell, others now were welcoming, and this dear ship was continuing to bring laughter and joy to others as it had to us.
