Robert Alvin - August 3, 1936 - November 5, 2019
Died comfortably in the presence of his family on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital.
Bob, at the age of 83, was the beloved husband of Brenda, for 60 years.
Loving father of Shari (Mark Edwards), Daryl (Tracy), Lorne (Andrea) and Kevan (Karla).
Cherished grandfather of Brydne (Jay) and Devon; Sydney and Ryan; Amanda (Curtis), Jessica and Daniel; and Kai. He will be remembered by his cousins in Western Canada.
Bob had an adventurous life. Born in Saskatchewan, an only child, he left the family farm and enlisted in the RCAF as a young man.
Initially posted in Canada and later to Great Britain - he met and wed his beautiful bride, Brenda.
They lived in Nottingham, England briefly then moved to Canada where he left the Air Force.
Having lived in Toronto, the Dakota’s, Minnesota, Montana, New York City, North Bay and Montreal, he settled his family in Uxbridge, Ontario where he spent many years renovating the family’s century home.
Throughout his married life and career, Bob travelled the world as a Navaids Specialst conducting business in Canada, USA, Mexico, Central and South America, Caribbean, UK, Asia and Africa. Aviation was his passion.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at this time.

The family is very thankful to Cummer Lodge, Bloomington Cove and the palliative unit of Markham-Stouffville Hospital, for the care and attention they showed to Bob.
