(April 20, 1943 - February 16, 2022)

"Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." - Archbishop Desmond Tutu Courageously, on Wednesday, February 16th, surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.

Mother, teacher, loyal friend and confidant, Joy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 53 years Rev. Canon Trevor Denny, daughters Kara and Rachelle (their partners, Russell and Jesse), and extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Arms of Jesus Children's Mission, Hope and Healing International, or to the Canadian Lung Association.

There will be a physical/virtual memorial service to celebrate Joy's life at St. John's Anglican Church Bowmanville at a later date.
