Catherine Ward (Kate, Rena), aged 78 of Whitby, Ontario passed away August 10, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family.

We are especially grateful to Derek McNally and Diane Noftle for the dedicated and loving care you provided to Kate in her final days.

Kate was born October 12, 1942 in Glasgow, Scotland, the eldest child of William Parker and Catherine Parker (née Murray).

Beloved wife of Charles (Chick) Ward (deceased).
Cherished mother to Sean Ward (Jacqui) and Lee Ward (Ann). Adored grandmother of Mary Ward.
Loving sister and sister-in-law to Carol Ann Meiklejohn (George), John Parker (Jessie), William Parker (Liz), James Ward (Ann), Ann Gray (Thomas) and Ellen Ward.

Devoted Aunt to eleven nieces and nephews and courtesy Aunt (Aunty Kate) to so many more extended family and friends.

A private visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, on Saturday August 14, 2021in Whitby ON. Friends are invited to say farewell at the graveside service 1:30 P.M. ET Saturday August 14, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby, ON.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you consider making a donation to one of Kate’s favourite charities – The Salvation Army, World Vision, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – or the charity of your choice.
