OCTOBER 8, 1936 – SEPTEMBER 26, 2022

On the wings of an angel, Niel was taken to meet his Lord and Saviour on September 26, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

He was born on October 8th, 1936 in The Netherlands to the late Pieter and Nellie DeKoker.

Loving husband of Lilian (nee Hooghuis) for 50 years.

Beloved father of Merissa and her husband Craig Johnston, Sjaniene and her husband Eric Heron.

Cherished Opa of Nathan, Elizabeth, and Phoebe.

Dear brother of Susan and Herman Duivesteyn, Louis and Brenda DeKoker, the late Pieter DeKoker, John DeKoker and Nellie Stell.

Niel will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, October 6th from 12:30 until time of Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m.
