Peacefully, after a short illness on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.

Dennis Gidney of Woodville, beloved husband of Sheila-Mae Young.

Loved father of Dianna (Mark Harrison) and Damon.

Loving grandfather of Luke and Jack Dennis.

Dennis is survived by his sisters Deanna, Doreen, Deborah, Joanne, and Suzanne, his brother David, and he was predeceased by his brother Michael and his infant brother Larry.

He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law Dianne Young and her daughter Lilah.

The family of Dennis Gidney will receive friends at the Woodville United Church on Thursday, June 13th from 1 – 2 p.m. followed by a Service to celebrate his life at 2 p.m. Interment, Woodville.

If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the “Abbey Retreat Centre for persons living with cancer” in Haliburton, the Woodville United Church Memorial Fund or the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation.
