Passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on May 29, 2024 at the age of 81.
Dwyne was the cherished, devoted husband and best friend of his wife Betty (nee Perdue) for 53 years.
Dwyne was born on a farm in Manitoba, and over time moved to Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Chesley and Lagoon City.
Dwyne was a man of quiet integrity who believed in the goodness of others and treated them accordingly; This demeanor created an atmosphere of respect and admiration.
His considerate dependability was expressed by his willingness to help many with his wide range of expertise in many things.
He began his career working on the ships of the Great Lakes, then several decades in industrial insulation and finally an independent business of painting and wallpapering until he retired. He and Betty travelled to many destinations and made many close friends along their journeys. He loved walking the beach and enjoyed golfing with his buddies.
Dwyne was a gentle man, loyal, pragmatic, genuine and well loved. He will be dearly missed. A huge thank-you to the doctors and staff of OSMH who cared for Dwyne.
There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
