McBRIEN, ELIZABETH "LIZ" McNICOL October 31, 1948 - July 12, 2024 Sadly, we announce the passing of Elizabeth McNicol McBrien on July 12, 2024. She died peacefully at Baycrest Hospital with her close family by her side. Liz was married for over 53 years to the love of her life, Gord and was a devoted mother to her incredible children, Sarah and David and their families. Liz can be described in many ways; an enthusiastic, gracious, and loving person; a wonderful teacher and strong advocate for child care; a passionate mother to Sarah and David, a loving grandmother to her grandgirls and a caring sister to Mary, Jane and Susan. She cared deeply about her family and close friends; was a fighter for her thoughts and views and possessed a love of life. Her smile was beautiful and absolutely infectious. She brought real joy to those who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She is loved deeply by Gord, Sarah and David, as well as the rest of her family. There will be a Celebration of Life for Liz to be arranged in September at her condo. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, or Sunnybrook Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
