It is with profound sadness and fond memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Ann Stirling on February 6, 2022 at the age of 89, with her daughter by her side, at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry.

Loving mother to David (Ann) and Karen (Mike Angelo).

Proud grandmother to Brittney (Miguel), Ryan (Lauren) and Karlee (Daniel).

Great-grandmother to Arya and Emilia.

She will be sorely missed by her many friends. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Sammy, brother Jimmy and parents James and Mary Marks.

Evelyn enjoyed careers in insurance, retail and office administration and retired from the Scarborough Board of Education. She loved to bring the treats for family gatherings.

Her cherry balls and shortbread cookies were beyond delicious.

She made the best shepherd's pie ever, her scones were legendary as was her gravy.

She lived her life with grace, kindness, laughter and love. She left this life with dignity, on her terms, surrounded by love.

Cremation has taken place, and a Graveside Service will be held to celebrate her life at Pine Hills Cemetery in the Spring.

Donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Oak Ridges Hospice, where their kind and compassionate staff took such wonderful care of her in her final days.
