June 2, 1922 - September 9, 2016Passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Margaret McAvoy. Survived by his loving companion June Pettigrew. Cherished father of Brenda Grozelle (Frank Vale), Bill McAvoy (Eleanor), Fay Torrance (Allen), Ross Pettigrew and Lesley Pettigrew. Cherished grandfather of Shauna Parish (Greg), Heidi Vanderkloet (Dale), Craig McAvoy (Cecelia), Lori Baptie (Scott), Krista Kruis (Firston), Ron Torrance (Carmen), Dave Torrance (Anita Webb), Paul Torrance (Linda McCabe) and 15 great-grandchildren.Visitation will take place at Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 7:00-9:00p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 12:00pm with visitation one hour prior.
