Gail Matthews, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 85.

Gail was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family.

She was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Gail's warm smile and infectious laughter could light up any room, and she had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.

Throughout her life, Gail was passionate about helping others, her selflessness touched the lives of many.

Gail was also an avid reader, seamstress, knitter and painter.

She had a curious and loving spirit, which allowed her to create cherished memories with the ones she loved.

Above all else, Gail was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured her family and embraced every moment spent together. Her love and support were unwavering, and she was always there to offer a listening ear, a comforting hug, or words of wisdom.

Gail is survived by her loving children, grandchildren and brother who will miss her dearly. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire and guide us all.

Gail Matthews will be remembered for her loving nature and the impact she made on the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace, knowing that her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial service on Friday January 26th at 1:30 at Newcastle Funeral Home.
