October 16, 1936 - April 9, 2022

Passed away after a valiant battle on April 9 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 85.

Loving husband of Margaret for over 32 years -“precious Margie”.

Jerry will be missed by his son Jerry Jr. (Melanie) and granddaughter Hannah, his family, as well as by many relatives from Holland and friends from around the world.

Jerry will be remembered for his safe truck driving skills, love of NASCAR, dogs, country music and all sports.

His great sense of humour and kind heartedness and always saw the good in people.

The family wish to extend their appreciation to the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for professionalism shown to Jerry and Margaret.

As per his own wishes, no formal funeral services will take place.

Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY and FUNERAL CENTRE , 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787).

Donations will be gratefully for Canadian Cancer Society or Durham Region Humane Society.
