November 7th, 1920 – January 6th, 2017Passed away peacefully at her residence with family by her side on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at the age of 96.Born in San Marco Argentano (C.S.), Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1966.Beloved wife to the late Armando for over 43 years.Loving mother of Concetta Piraino (Antonio), Gioacchino Occhiuzzi (Adelina) and Maria Palmieri (Antonio).Much adored Nonna to Silvana D’Amato (Domenic), Giuseppe Palmieri (Bev), Graziella Smith (Greg), Sandra Araujo (Paul), Ida Natoli (Aurelio) and Serena Occhiuzzi.Big Nonna to Anthony, Nicholas, Julia and Isabella, Lucas, Daniel, Veronica and Andrew.She will be sadly missed by all her extended family and friends.Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8th, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa) on Monday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery following mass.Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted to Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Cancer Care or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
