April 5, 1921 - December 30, 2015Passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Regency Manor in Port Hope, where she resided with the most caring and loving staff.Beloved wife for 55 years of the late Donald Simmons.Loving mother of Elaine, Douglas and Allan Simmons.Cherished grandmother of Dawn (Kevin), the late Christopher, Stacey, Darryl and Bradley. Great- grandmother of Jessica, Taylor, Kyle and Kristen and great- great-grandmother of Hunter.Sister of Daniel (Marie), John (Beverly) and Peter.Predeceased by her parents Louis and Ancha Peroff.Irene will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends.Visitation will be held at McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax, 905-428-8488, on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 1-3 p.m. with service in the chapel at 3 p.m.Private family interment.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
