Member of Ontario Rug Hooking Guild and Oshawa Burlap Loopers. It is with great sadness that the family of Isabelle announces on November 25, 2014 she has gone to be with the Lord. Isabelle was born in Oshawa on September 21, 1920. In 1941 Isabelle married James Edward Tilling who died on February 5, 1954. Isabelle was a devoted and beloved mother to Roberta (Bobbie) and her husband Arnold DeMan, Edward Tilling and his wife Sharon, Barbara and her husband Harold Tremblay and Larry Tilling and his wife Gail. In 1965, Isabelle married Kenneth Gordon Calder, who died on July 26, 1986. Isabelle was a cherished and loved Gramma to Trish Tennant (Rod), Michael DeMan (Shelley, Bryan DeMan (Kirk), Shane Tilling (Michelle), Jamie Tremblay (Lori), Greg DeMan (Katrina), Stephen Tremblay (Megan) and Tabitha Villemaire (Patrick. She was an adored great Gramma to Devon, Riley, Rachelle, Kyle, Jacob, Claire, Jack, Isabel, and Ella. Isabelle is predeceased by her dear sisters Alberta Edwards, Blanche Edwards and Llewella Pine and dear brother William Goyne. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and many extended family members. Isabelle took great pride in her family and their history to the surrounding area. A Funeral Service will be held at Kingsview United Church, Oshawa on Saturday, November 29th at 1 p.m., with the family of Isabelle receiving friends at the church from 11 a.m.
