JOHNSTON, George James - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of George James Johnston on Aug. 18th at Lakeridge Health Hospital in Oshawa in his 85th year with his family by his side.
He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family passionately and golf as a close second.

After his retirement, he joined the Lions Service Club and devoted many enjoyable hours as treasurer with his buddies while providing services to the community.
He also travelled extensively with his wife, Edwina, to Greece, England, China, Australia, many European countries and southern islands. Earlier years were spent camping with the family across Canada and through the United States.
