It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lenord Herbert (Joe) Jarvis.

Life partner to Valerie Love.

Beloved Dad to Jennifer O’Neil and Janet Martin (Steve), lovingly remembered by their mother Shirley Jarvis.

Cherished Papa to Eric (Taylor), Austin (Jammie) and Josh. Dear step dad to Jamie and Tammy Love. Survived by his best friend and brother Ralph (Doris) Jarvis. Predeceased by his siblings Dorothy Pierson, Doris Willits, Marj Grant, and Bill Jarvis.

Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Joe was a General Motors retiree having started in the boys group at 16 yrs of age.

Joe was a resident of Hampton for over 60 years.

On Saturday January 6th, there will be a Celebration of Life at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street North, Bowmanville. We will be welcoming friends from 1 – 4 pm. In keeping with Joe’s casual lifestyle we invite everyone to attend in their favourite western attire. Yes we welcome and encourage those tight fittin’ jeans (he loved this Conway Twitty tune).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Lakeridge Health for their dedication, care and compassion.
