On Thursday July 11, 2024, our dearly beloved Lilian Maud Fraser (née McDonald) was called to be with our Lord. She unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep to join her parents (John and Catherine), her predeceased son Paul (d.2011), and all of her siblings: Monica (d. 2003), Sterling (d. 2005), Stanley (d. 2012), Hope (d. 2018), Inez (d. 2018) and Ruby (d. 2022).
She is survived by Winston, her husband of 57 years; daughters Rose Marie and Novlette; grandchildren Genevieve, Kolleen, Isaiah, Gabriel and Isabelle; great-grandchildren Menelik and Makada, as well as so many loving nieces, nephews and family members.
Lilian (more commonly referred to as Aunt Lil) was born in Garden Hill, Westmoreland, Jamaica on October 11, 1937. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in December 1965. She put her herself through school and became a Registered Nurse Assistant working at Providence Villa and Hospital (Providence Healthcare) in Scarborough and as a Personal Home Care Nurse in Oshawa.
She had a love for God, family, Jamaica, gardening and sewing. She loved to bake Easter bun and Christmas cake, steam any vegetable from her garden and make teas from any bush having medicinal qualities.
She had a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love. She will be remembered for her strong will and determination, generous spirit and her unwavering faith in God.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at Trinity Pentecostal Church, 900 King Street E., Oshawa on Saturday July 27, 2024 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service. She will be laid to rest at Thornton Cemetery, 1200 Thornton Road N, Oshawa, Section 12, Lot 2390.
In lieu of flowers, church offerings for missionary work to spread the gospel would be appreciated.
