Teresa passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at The Village of Taunton Mills, Whitby, one week after celebrating her 93rd birthday.

Teresa was born May 11, 1931 in Kingston, Ontario, to Joseph and Josephine (née McBrady) Jordan.

She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Frances (née Jordan) McMinn and her baby brother James Jordan.

Teresa spent most of her life in Durham Region where she attended Whitby High School and worked as a loans officer at CIBC for over 40 years.

She enjoyed her home and took pride in her garden. She was a longtime member and volunteer of St. Gregory’s Church, Oshawa, was a group leader for St. Vincent’s Kitchen and for many years, greatly enjoyed her time spent as a social member of the Oshawa Golf and Country Club.

Her friendly personality and sense of humour made her endearing to so many people, and she was never happier than when spending time with good friends and family whilst enjoying a cold beer.

Teresa is survived by her nephew Jim McMinn and his wife Sharon and their three children, Andrew, Melissa and Jennifer, and her cousin Maggie Dawson and her husband Mike. Teresa will be missed by her great nieces and nephews, family, friends and neighbours.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Taunton Mills and the caregivers from Cardinal Nannies for their support and care of Teresa. Relatives and friends are invited to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church (214 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa) on Wednesday May 29, 2024 from 9:30 am until time of Memorial Mass at 10:30 am.
