NICHOLSON, Michael Norman Nicholson   -  (77), passed away on July 23, 2024 at Southlake Regional Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario.

Michael, fondly known as Mike, was born to Hope and Norma Nicholson (nee Lewis) on November 20, 1946 in Whitehorse, Yukon.

He was a talented athlete, who loved playing sports and was captain of the Brock Generals men's hockey team of 1968.

Mike went on to a career in teaching, focusing on high school English and Special Education at the former Bendale Business and Technical Institute and Sir Robert L. Borden Business and Technical Institute, both in Scarborough, Ontario.

Mike's loving spirit is carried on by his brother, Karl; his children, Laura, Martin, and Pamela; his grandchildren, Angelique, Selene, Isaiah, Rosalinda, and James; his niece, Greer; and nephew, Andrew.

Friends will be received at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket, on Tuesday, July 30, at 11 a.m., followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment to be held on Wednesday. July 31st, 1 p.m. at Pleasantview Cemetery in Fonthill, Ontario.
