(Retired Principal City of York) -It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Norman Hunter, in his 78th year, of Whitby, Ontario, passed away on Friday, January 29th, 2016 in Oshawa, Ontario.Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Helena Maureen (nee Nicholl) of Whitby. Loving daughters Wendy Civello (Joe) and Lori Hunter.Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Christina Civello, Brandon Civello and Vincent Forza. Survived by sisters Betty Bull and Grace Collins and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by parents Christina Hunter (Dow), William Hunter, brothers John Hunter and William Hunter, granddaughter Felicia Nicole Civello and many nieces and nephews. Norman will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends in both Canada and abroad.Visitation will be held at DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario (905) 440 3595 on Sunday, January 31st at 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 209 Cochrane Street, Whitby on Monday February 1st at 11:00am with Reverend Jonathan Tait officiating. Interment will follow at Thornton Cemetery, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa.
