Died peacefully in her sleep at home early Friday morning, October 14, 2016.Olive had just entered her 96th year, celebrating with family at her side.Loving wife of the late Don Henderson,Olive is survived by her 6 children; Janet, Donna (Ozzie), Gary, Wayne (Kathy), Allan, Randy (Jane).Fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren; Debra (Andrzej), Misty (Mario), Adrienne (Greg), Sandra (Greg), Lisa (Junior), Heather (Shawn), Christopher, Brendan, Liam, Evan and her 14 great grandchildren; Chelsey, Lukas, Haley, Dakota, Carson, Christian, Brooke, Destiny, Madison, Aurora, Mira, Alexis, Mason and Aubrey.Olive was a very active volunteer at Pickering Village United Church, Ballycliffe Retirement Lodge and the Ajax-Pickering Hospital in her earlier years. She served in the Wrens (women’s navy service) during WW2.Resting at McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME in Pickering Village (Ajax), visitation will be held on Tuesday October 18, from 6-8pm and Wednesday October 19, from 12-1pm. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1pm.Olive loved flowers, so they will be graciously accepted.
