Bob was an exceptional hockey and baseball player. He was inducted into multiple Sports Hall of Fames in Ontario. His passion for sports continued long after his playing days, by coaching numerous AAA teams in both baseball and hockey alongside his sons.
Bob, also known as “Boogie Bear,” worked for Bell Telephone as a lineman for over 40 years, making many life-long friends. These relationships continued well into his early 80s, as he enjoyed participating in the Bell Golf League. In his 35 years of retirement, Bob was known to meet friends and fellow Brooklinites for morning coffee at Tims or lunch at the Brooklin Pub.
Bob will be remembered by many for his physical strength and firm handshakes, but also for his love of family and his soft, kind heart.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care staff at Lakeridge Health for the compassion and comfort they provided to Bob over the last 2 months.
