Harvey John William Searle

November 17, 1951 - December 20, 2024

Passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, at Lakeridge Ajax, following a courageous six-month battle with cancer. Harvey was a loving and devoted family man whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He was the widowed husband to Elaine Searle (Bennett), a proud father to John, and an adoring Papa to Sophie and Charlie. Harvey was a caring and devoted brother to Laura Ellick and brother-in-law to the late James Ellick. His warmth, kindness, and generosity left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

• Reception: 384 Prince of Wales Drive, Whitby, Ontario, L1N 6M9, January 6, 2025, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

"Harv always had that biggest smile, welcoming disposition, and was willing to be there for what mattered the most in his world. He loved his grandchildren dearly and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it.

You often read about people's best qualities when they pass, yet I was lucky enough to see and feel the warmth he brought wherever we met.

If there were more Harvey's in the world, we'd all live in a better place."
