With heavy hearts we share that our beautiful mother Thelma, joined her love and soulmate of 59 years, Bud in heaven on April 22, 2024.
Our mother was a strong, fierce and independent woman with a spark for life and adventure.
She traveled the world with our father, was active in her church, loved bowling, playing cards, knitting, gardening and loved watching the Oshawa Generals, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays on her couch in the house they built together, a rye and coke in hand a shared bowl of chips and dip.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Judy Zarowny (John), Janice Shaw (John) and Jayne Owen. She will be lovingly remembered as a grandmother of Scott (Kim), Leigh-Ann, Jennifer (Myles), Christie (Jason), Jeff, Julie (Dale) and great-grandmother of Emma, Wyatt, Cedar, Joshua, Jessica, Ella and Avery. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Verna Stovin and sister of the late Alan Stovin, all of Oshawa.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional home care team, especially Lindsay, Julie, Helen, Rebecca and Amanda for their unwavering support and care.
We were blessed to have Thelma as our mother for a mother's love is something we keep locked deep in our hearts, always knowing it will be there to comfort us. Not to worry mom, the lights are off.
