In his 91st year.Active and independent until the end, Tom passed peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, March 28, 2015.Much loved husband of the late Maureen.Survived by his daughters Patricia (Bill Sornberger), Denise (Rod Lawrence), grandchildren Allie (Kyle), Jill (Troy), Mark and Alyssa (Shane), sister Maureen Mullin in Northern Ireland and special friend Pat Dennis. Tom was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1924 and came to Canada in 1953 in search of sunshine.He could only be described as a "true gentleman" and will be greatly missed by all of his many friends and especially by his family.A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 115 St. Andrews Road, Scarborough.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favourite charity.Tom always enjoyed a gathering so friends are invited to raise a glass and share a story following the service.
