To Love and Be Loved is the Greatest Joy.Thora, born in Salford, England, daughter of the late Robert Crispin and Thora Burns, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the age of 86, surrounded by the love of her family.Thora is happily reunited with her adored husband, George; precious daughter, Suzanne and cherished son, Stuart McGregor.Thora’s message to her family and friends is not to grieve her passing but to remember all the good times.She will forever be loved and missed by her children; Paul (Jennifer), Catherine, Peter (Lorna), Sean, Francine (Robert), and Anne-Marie. Proud Grandmother of: Sean (Carling), Patrick, Matthew, Daniel, Adam, Brett, Kyle, Conner, Carly and Hailey.Dear sister of Marian (the late Stuart) and the late Joyce (Steve) and sister in-law of Patricia and the late Maire.Thora’s stalwart character and unique sense of humour will be sadly missed by her extended family here and in England and by her many dear and loyal friends.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amma who always knew how to make her smile.Funeral service will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 1p.m. with visitation an hour prior. Reception will immediately follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 170, 109 Franklin St., Uxbridge.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sick Kids Foundation or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
