Passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital in her 82nd year, on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Predeceased by her loving husband Frank (2013). Dearest mother of Arthur (Jenn) and John (Jackie). Devoted grandmother to Lindsay, Brock, Christopher and Coalton. Verna was also a great-grandmother. Cherished sister to Gordon (Mary) Harrison. Predeceased by brother Lloyd (Jean) Harrison and sister Bernice (Melbourne) Smith. Verna along with her husband moved to the 6th Concession in the spring of 1960 to take up dairy farming. She spent many hours in the barn milking the cows. She also loved her vegetable garden in the summer. Verna will be sadly missed by family, friends and neighbours. Family and friends will be received at the Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge (23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, ON, 905-852-3073) on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 7-9pm. service celebrating Verna’s life will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
