March 12, 1942 - April 13, 2020 Bill passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday April 13, 2020 in Newcastle, ON. He is the loving father of Niki (Tony) and Jenny (Graham).He is Grandad to 7 grandkids, Isabella, Jack, Gabriel, Max, Alessia, Reese and Nicolas. He is predeceased by his parents Theodore Jack Brant and Ruth Gladys Spall and his nephew David Brant. He is survived by his brother John (Fran) and Betty(Bill) and nieces/nephews Paul (Joanne), Tina and Ellie and 4 great nieces/nephews. Bill was a longtime resident of Whitby, growing up at 513 Dundas St E as a child.He was also a small business owner in Whitby where he owned the Brock St Theatre/Whitby Cinema and then purchased Burtinsky Florists, renaming it Burtinsky & Brant Florist. He had a longtime love of plants, flowers and his family.During this unimaginable time, please remember to think of the long term care workers, frontline workers and all those that risk their lives daily for us. There will be no service at this time due to the current situation.
