It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Scott on January 25, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 79.
Scott was the beloved husband of Loretta for over 48 wonderful years and a devoted father to Sean (Lindsey), Wade (Melissa), Stephen (Maria), Joanne (Steve), and John. He was a cherished grandfather to Jonas, Abigail, Emily, David, Candace, Michael, Justin, Tejay, and Hailie, and a proud great-grandfather to Madison, Jennifer, and Jedidiah. He will also be deeply missed by his dear siblings, Wade and Kay, as well as by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and his special Aunt Ellen.
Born in Baie Verte, Newfoundland, Scott was immensely proud of his heritage and always looked forward to visiting his hometown. In his spare time, he found joy in fishing and cheering on his favorite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa), followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Bonnie passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Arthur; daughter, Suki (Jay); grandson, Rowan; and her many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Bonnie will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Our dear sister and aunt, Cynthia, affectionately called “Babes,” passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 2:23 a.m.
Babes was a beloved sister to Alec, Sadie, Lucille, Lullet, Aldith, Dencil, Kathy, Blakey, and Marvia. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Estella Hussey; her sisters Winnifred and Novlet; and brothers Hibbert and Kenneth. Babes was also an extraordinary aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Babes dedicated over 30 years of her career as a personal support worker at Barton Place and in private care. However, her life’s purpose was being a champion for Christ.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Extendicare Rouge Valley, who provided compassionate care for Babes in her final years.

Obituary for Barbara Anderson Huget
Barbara Anderson Huget, aged 66, passed away suddenly on November 24, 2024, in Oakville, Ontario. She is predeceased by her parents, Lesley and Warren Huget; her brother, Richard; and her ex-husband, Uwe Meyer. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Sunter (née Huget), nephews Daniel (Elena) and David (Mayu), and her niece Jessica (Mariom).
Born and raised in Ottawa, Barb moved to Toronto to pursue her studies and career. She earned a BFA in Theatre from York University and embarked on an impressive and diverse career in the GTA and Southern Ontario in theatre, music, and the visual arts.
Barb began her career at the Blyth and Muskoka Festivals and, at the age of 26, became the General Manager of Tapestry Music Theatre (now Tapestry Opera). She later served as General Manager of Gryphon Theatre and as a Touring Consultant for the Ontario Arts Council. In the late 1990s, she became the Executive Director of Canadian Artists Representation, Ontario, followed by a role as Executive Director for Theatre Ontario.
In 2001, Barb shifted her focus to the visual arts, studying drawing and painting at OCAD and in Florence, Italy. She returned to teach Arts Administration and Art History at Humber College while earning a Master’s Degree in Education.
In more recent years, Barb took on management roles for the Lowville Festival, Guelph JazzFest, and Gravenhurst, and for the past five years, she was a highly valued Manager of One Burlington.
Barb was a loving, generous, and talented woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society.
Joseph “Bryce” Handley passed away peacefully at home on the farm where he had lived for 52 years.
For 62 years, he was the beloved husband to Arleen (nee Coulter). He was proud of his family: daughter Jackie and her husband Brian and grandsons Joseph and Sam; daughter Joanne and her husband Shane Williams and grandsons Jared and Lucas; and his son Keith and his wife Lesley, and grandchildren Blake, Owen, and Paige.
Bryce is survived by his sisters Trudy (the late Ron) Sheehey, Ruth, and Beth, and his brother Brent (Debbie), as well as his nieces and nephews.
Bryce had a love of farming, beef cattle, and mechanics that he proudly shared and saw develop in his children and grandchildren. He worked at St. Mary’s Cement, Bowmanville, Ontario, for 30+ years as Quarry Foreman in his later years. Bryce enjoyed traveling to Florida for a number of years in his retirement with Arleen and a close group of friends, returning to continue his work on the farm during the other ten months of the year.
As per Bryce's wishes, a private family memorial will take place at a later date.
