Born September 16, 1965 in Oshawa, Ontario, passed peacefully on April 27, 2024, after a vigilant fight against cancer.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer O’Malley, son Ethan O’Malley, parents Joseph and Catherine O’Malley, brothers Mark and Andrew, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Graduated 1991 from University of Toronto Faculty of Law, called to the bar in 1992, and practiced independently as a barrister and solicitor in Oshawa until 2024, Thomas had a strong faith, a thirst for knowledge, and a brilliant mind.

His love of animals and sarcastic sense of humour lives on through his son Ethan.

In high school, Tom was part of the debate team, was a cross country runner, and graduated as the top student in all of Durham Region.

He was always an avid reader, and self-published a book in 2008, entitled “Canadian Divorce and Separation Made Easier” in tandem with his family law practice.

On April 20, 2024 after a long and brave battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s disease Tom passed from this life with his wife Sharon by his side.

Tom was born in Toronto to Thomas and Agnes Davidson (deceased).

He lived in Toronto and Scarborough until November 2015 when he and Sharon sold their home and moved to the Town of Uxbridge to enjoy the peace and quiet of small-town living.

Tom had a very successful 42-year career as an Electrical Design Draftsman until his retirement at age 60.

During his life he played many sports including bowling, curling, golf and hockey which he played right up until his early 50’s.

He also coached his son Todd in soccer and hockey.

Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years Sharon, son Todd (Terri), stepchildren Donna, Stephen (Denise), Grandchildren Mackenzie, Tyrone, Tavish, Kristyna, Ryan, Matthew and Cameron and Great Grandchild Nolan, sister Pat (Joe “Moose”), Nieces Brenda and Tricia and families and brother-in-law Mike (Lonnie). Tom will be dearly missed by many including close friends Bill, Corinne, Marg, and good buddy Doug.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Uxbridge Hospital and the Beaver River unit at Lakeview Manor, LTC in Beaverton, for their care, compassion, and love that they showed Tom.

Especially to those who joked around with Tom and brought out his sense of humour and that wonderful smile of his.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held in Tom’s honour at a future date to be announced.

To send a donation in Tom’s memory the family has chosen the following organizations: The Alzheimer’s Society Durham Region or Uxbridge Hospital Foundation.

With heavy hearts we share that our beautiful mother Thelma, joined her love and soulmate of 59 years, Bud in heaven on April 22, 2024.

Our mother was a strong, fierce and independent woman with a spark for life and adventure.

She traveled the world with our father, was active in her church, loved bowling, playing cards, knitting, gardening and loved watching the Oshawa Generals, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays on her couch in the house they built together, a rye and coke in hand a shared bowl of chips and dip.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters Judy Zarowny (John), Janice Shaw (John) and Jayne Owen. She will be lovingly remembered as a grandmother of Scott (Kim), Leigh-Ann, Jennifer (Myles), Christie (Jason), Jeff, Julie (Dale) and great-grandmother of Emma, Wyatt, Cedar, Joshua, Jessica, Ella and Avery. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Verna Stovin and sister of the late Alan Stovin, all of Oshawa.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional home care team, especially Lindsay, Julie, Helen, Rebecca and Amanda for their unwavering support and care.

We were blessed to have Thelma as our mother for a mother's love is something we keep locked deep in our hearts, always knowing it will be there to comfort us. Not to worry mom, the lights are off.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Terry Goodmundson on April 20, 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Anna and Ed Goodmundson, beloved grandparents Narfi and Bina Narfason, brother Eric and sister-in-law Cynthia and niece Dana.

Left to mourn are his partner Bob Doucet, brother Al (Carol) Goodmundson, sister Kathy (Don) Cobb, nephew Brian Cobb, niece Kristen Goodmundson, and niece Heather Oliver (Bryn)and children, and numerous cousins and friends.

Born in Foam Lake Saskatchewan, Terry grew up in Winnipeg, spending summers with his grandparents in Saskatchewan and happy days with cousins in Gimli After graduating university Terry settled in Whitby and was employed by DuPont until his retirement.

In Whitby, far from relatives, Terry gathered a loving family of friends who have been his source of joy and support especially Joan and Gary Watson and their children Michelle (Sam)and Rob (Tracy) and Solomon and Ada Kidane and children Martha, Naomi and Isaiah, as well as many co-workers and neighbors.

Terry had great joy in helping others. He loved his family and his friends and he was much loved in return. He will be missed.

At Terry’s request cremation has taken place and no service will be held.

Age 49, passed away unexpectedly from a sudden natural cause at her home in Ajax on April 16, 2024.

Cherished daughter who so loved her Momma, Lorraine and was Momma to her fur baby Monty.

She would always make a point to tell them that she loved and appreciated them with her huge hugs and gentle warm words “I love you”.

Theressa had a love for life and a special bond with family and friends which was evident in her interactions every day.

Her love, strength and generosity extended beyond the immediate family to encompass a wide circle of friends.

She was a ray of sunshine for friends and colleagues and will be missed by many.

Sadly, Theressa’s journey was cut too short and she is now reunited with her grandparents, aunties and stepfather. Her spirit will remain in our minds and forever in our hearts, you have left our life too soon.

Memorial visitation will be held at McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 4pm to 8pm.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at 11:00 am.

Friends are invited to join the family for a reception in the McEachnie Family Centre following the service. Private family interment will be held at a later date.

With his loving family at his side, Thomas Alfred Goodwin of Ajax, Ont., passed away on April 15, 2024.

He was 92.

Beloved and devoted husband of 71 years to his dear wife Mary (nee McStravick); a proud and loving father to Joanne North and husband John, Susan Willmot and husband Harry, Cindy McKenzie and husband Bob, John Goodwin and wife Joanne; a wonderful Grandpa to Patrick, Lauren, Mike, Mat, Shawn, Thomas, Coleen and Kathryn, and a special Great Grandpa to Jack, Brody, Blake, Gunnar, Everly and Killian.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by all his family and friends. They will particularly miss his stories of growing up in the west end of Toronto; attending St. Michael’s College School and playing hockey there (Atomic Tom!); trips to Bala; running out to the pumps at Goodwin and Bustard service station; a fixture for decades at the corner of Coxwell and Dundas in Toronto; following the Soo Greyhounds all over Ontario for three years; and watching and cheering on the Leafs, Jays and Argos.

All his friends and family are invited to crack open a cold Molson Export in Tom’s honour.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 21 Bayly St. E., Ajax on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 12:00 noon.

She later separated and remarried David Cowie prior to immigrating to Canada in 1997.

Upon arriving in Canada, Trina practiced tirelessly to learn English and eventually landed a position in sales, where she achieved many awards and accolades throughout her career.

Trina was known for her love of life and was loved by many for her free spirit and outgoing personality.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was an avid viewer of the news keeping up with politics and current issues, going on throughout the world.

Trina will be remembered for her kindness, volunteering with the elderly and abused youth, and her unconditional love for her friends and family.
