Wayne passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at Hillsdale Estates, in Oshawa, at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of the late Mary (née Crumb).

Loving father of Brett and his wife Carol. He will be missed by his cherished grandchildren Jacob and Joshua and loving brothers Blair (Janice) and Lionel (Carolina) and brother-in-law John (Theresa).

Wayne will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and his extended family and friends.

Wayne was an avid fisherman who spent many years working at Gagnon Sports, in Oshawa, where he built lasting relationships extending his enthusiasm for fishing and the outdoors.

When he wasn’t fishing, he also enjoyed going for motorcycle rides on his Harley. As per Wayne’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.

Donations in memory of Wayne to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region would be appreciated.

Born in Minitonas, Manitoba. He proudly served with the Metropolitan Toronto Police force from 1958 to 1983.

With saddened hearts, Walter Bruce Wells of Ajax, ON, passed away peacefully, with his son, Gary Wells, at his side on April 14, 2024.

He will be missed by his two sons, Gary and Bruce Wells; Gary's wife, Sandy Wells, grandchildren: Lindsay Brennan (Mathew), Laura Wells (Darryn); and Bruce's wife, Alayne Wells, grandchildren: Megan Wells (Ty) and Aaron Wells (Emily). And his longtime companion, Ann Tyas.

As per our father's wishes, there will be no service.

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bill Temperton at Glenhill Terrace, Whitby on April 30, 2024 at the age of 93.

He had been in declining health since his stroke 9 years ago.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter Cindy (David) Myers. Predeceased by his wife Georgina “Bea”and daughter Janice Chevrier.

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chris Myers (Lisa), Jason Chevrier (Sylvie), Krystal Chevrier-Dock and great-grandchildren Aiden and Nolan Myers, Lucas and Evelyn Chevrier, and Mya and Landon Dock.

Also survived by his brother Robert “Bob” Temperton and sister-in-law Rosemary “Rose” Ham.

He was a retiree of General Motors Oshawa after many years in the truck plant. Dad was a gentle, quiet man who lived a full life. He loved his family and friends, travelling, listening to music, dancing, and woodcarving.

A very special thanks to everyone at Glenhill Terrace for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place.

At his request, there will be no funeral.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Glen Westbrook. With family by his side, he peacefully slipped into a forever sleep at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 84.

He will be incredibly missed by his children; Sherry Westbrook, William K. Westbrook and Diana Thomas (Mark), his grandchildren; Taylor Thomas, Alexander Thomas, Jesslyn Thomas and Brandon Osterhout (Vanessa) and his great-grandchildren; Nicholas Smith and Jonathan Thomas and his sister Judy Landon (Robert).

Predeceased by his parents Harvey James Westbrook and Mabel Jean Westbrook (nee Bradley) and his sisters Ruth Schedler (Russ) and Clare Breton (Buck). He couldn’t have fought the never-ending battle of surviving his motorcycle accident in August 2022 without the love and support of his family and his two best friends, David Tate and Wayne Shaw.

Without the constant telephone calls and visits, his new life as a paraplegic would’ve been much different. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Bowmanville Hospital for their endless care and love they showed and to his special PSW’s who cared for him on daily basis at home.

Visitation will be held at Newcastle Funeral Home on Friday, May 3rd from 4:00–7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Saturday, May 4th at noon with reception to follow.

If desired, donations would be appreciated to the Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Lyndhurst Centre or to a charity of your choice.

Born on January 17, 1943, his lifelong dedication to his family and friends marked every chapter of his journey. Loving husband to Gwendoline, predeceased by Colleen.

Proud Father to his three children: Nicole Tyte (Duane), Dustin Watson, Danielle Deveaux (Bernie) and step-children Rick White (Linda), Ian (Sandy) and the late Les White (Caroline).

He was a cherished grandfather to 17 grandchildren: Zachary, Brianna, Yvette, Erika, Charlotte, Holden, Cedar, Eberlee, Jeffery, the late Jackson, Michael, Shannon, Adam, Emily, Matthew, Shawna, and Samantha; and a proud great-grandfather to Carson ,Avery., Simon, Jasper, Noah and Brooks.

He also leaves behind his loving sister, Sue Bremner (George).

A man of great warmth, Bill will be remembered for his unwavering ability to be there for a friend in need and for his genuine care and interest in the lives of his children & grandchildren. His role as a cornerstone of support for his friends and family defined his life. William's legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on through the bonds William Ernest George Watson of his extensive family.

Memorial visitation will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24th from 10 – 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception following the service. Private family inurnment at Thornton Cemetery.

Bruce spent his life first serving his country in the R.C.A.F. during WW2 as a trained navigator stationed in Alberta and as a career accountant in the position of Comptroller with Fiberglas Canada in Toronto, ON for over 35 years. A confirmed bachelor all his life, Bruce enjoyed golfing, skiing, hunting and fishing.

He was a staunch member of Kingsview United Church for many decades.

Bruce lived his entire life in Oshawa devoted to the care and well-being of his family and friends.

In turn, we give great thanks to his caregiver of many years, Angela. May he rest in peace.

On Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, Wieslaw Sarzala loving husband, father and grandfather passed away in the home he shared with the wife he loved dearly.

Wieslaw was born in Poland in 1950.

After many years in communist Poland, he moved to Canada in 1990 with the dream of giving family a better life. He worked throughout his life to make this dream a reality.

When not spending time with the grandchildren he loved, Wieslaw used his creative talents. He loved writing poetry, drawing and painting.

He was strongly involved in the Warsaw Club (Towarzystwo Warzawskie), creating and performing skits and singing songs. He will always be remembered as an outgoing man who go along with everyone he met.

Wieslaw is survived by his children with their spouses, Bartosz (with Aneta) and Paulina (with Mark), and their four grandchildren, Patryk, Natalia, Aleksander and Sebastian.
