Passed away at home on September 8th, 2023 at the age of 89 years.

Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Anderson) for 61 years.

Loving dad of Dianna Kornic, Kim Kornic and Steve (Rebeca) Kornic.

Cherished grandpa of Jorge, Luisa and Christopher and great-grandpa of Eliana.

Dear brother of Nydia Kicinko and Ken Kornic.

Al was predeceased by his brothers John, Tim and Nick and sisters Betty and Marion. Survived by his sister in law Marion Hockney (the late Bob) and predeceased by Jack Anderson, Tom Anderson, Gerry Myles, June Leddy, Stan Anderson and Frank Anderson.

He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours, especially those from the Village of Taunton, where Al & Pat were long time residents. Al loved sports, as a young man he played lacrosse in Brooklin, he also played hockey and baseball.

He was an avid golfer and took great pride in winning the GM Worker’s Tournament several times.

Al also enjoyed teaching roller skating at the old Whitby arena, spending time fishing and was a Philatelist as well as a member of several stamp clubs.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at a later date.
