Passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry.

Predeceased by the love of his life, Audrey Ball in 2014, his daughter Katherine Gillingham in 2021 and son Todd Ball in 2022.

Survived by his daughter Susan Gillingham and Stacy Nicholls (Paul).

Gerald will be remembered and missed by his extended family, friends and pets.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Oak Ridges Hospice for their care and compassion during his final days.

In honour of Gerald and the volunteering he did for animals in need, donations of food, supplies or bedding could be given to Oshawa SPCA or a local branch in his honour.

As per his request cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
