Peacefully, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Bon Air Long Term Care Residence in Cannington, at age 85.

John Young, beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee Billard). Loving father of Donna Young and her husband George Wallis of British Columbia, Lorna and her husband Tim Hilts of Pefferlaw, and Shane Young (deceased) and his wife Donna of Jackson Point.

Loved grandfather of Rory Hilts, Arik Hilts, Sean Matthews, JJ Young (deceased), and Micheal Young. Great grandfather of Roman Hilts, Hailee Reid, T.J. Matthews, and Oliver Sutherland.

Predeceased by his brother and sister. Will be remembered by all of his nieces and nephews.

The family of John Young will host a Celebration of Life at the Thorne Funeral Home, in Cannington on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 2 – 5 p.m. Interment will take place in Newfoundland at a later date.
