Cecil “Greaser” Williams passed peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 93, on January 27th at Glenhill Strathaven.

He is predeceased by his loving Grandson Nick, parents Percy and Wilma, brother Bill and sister Joyce.

Cec was a loving and devoted husband to Noreen, his “Neen” for sixty- five years. Dedicated father to Tara (Chris); Richard (Shelly) and Patrick (Wendy).

Proud Poppa to Mandi; Brandon; Jaclyn; Nicholas; Brittany; Jagger and Luke. He is fondly remembered by his Great Grandchildren, extended family and friends. Our family would like to thank Glenhill Strathaven for their loving care of Cecil over the years.

A special thanks to his “Angel” Julie, who gave Cec the utmost compassion and care right up to his final moments. After Forty- seven years at General Motors in Oshawa, Cec retired and spent his golden years on Belmont Lake in Havelock.

Poppa, we know that you will find your way back to Belmont and we hope that you and Nick save us a seat on the boat. Until we meet again, all that is left to say is… PLAY BALL!

A Catholic Mass with light refreshments to immediately follow, will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Roman Church, 127 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville, on Thursday February 8th, 2024, at 11:00am. Cecil is to be cremated with arrangements with Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home in Bowmanville,

Neil left us too soon on January 23rd, 2024.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and cherished memories.

His smile and kindness will be greatly missed. Born in Craik, Saskatchewan on April 12, 1957 to Ed and Wilhelmina and he was the eldest of 4 boys.

His formative years were spent on the North Shore of Lake Superior, where his life-long love of sailing and outdoors were firmly intrenched.

In Thunder Bay, he raised a beautiful family of girls and began a career in the paper industry.

Later in life, Neil moved south to Whitby to continue his career in the paper industry. He found love for the second time around and married Sheila in 2011.

Family meant everything to Neil and he loved being a father and Opa.

He was a source of strength and support to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his wife Sheila, his father Ed, brothers Peter (Susan), Hans (Thanyamai), Ryk (Allie), daughters Heather (Scott), Laura, Alison (Brandon), and grandchildren Hanna, Lily, Marston, Gavin, Magnus and Jacob.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 2nd from 1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. at Bella Notte Restaurant (3570 Brock St N) in Whitby. Friends are welcome to drop in and share their favourite story of Neil.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Team Chelsea Pet Rescue or CAMH.

A family service will be held in Thunder Bay at a later date.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Marinucci after her brave and courageous battle with cancer.

Connie passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 56 and was surrounded by her loving family.

Connie is reunited with her father, Armando Marinucci in heaven amongst other dearly missed family.

She will be forever remembered by her mother Maria Marinucci, sisters Gilda, Sue, Lucy, and Lisa, and brothers in law Alex, Paul, Claudio, and Mike.

Connie has been and will always be adored by her nieces and nephews, Francesco, Isabella, Marco, Matthew, and Addison, extended family, friends, and all the lives she has touched.

Connie was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario where she attended post secondary school and graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, and taught for over 25 years.

Connie not only taught her students but cared deeply for each and every one of them and was always readily available for them in all respects.

Connie’s strength and perseverance is unmatched. She approached everything and everyone with love and lived one day at a time which her family encourages everyone to remember and practice.

Clifford Spicer passed away at home, after a tough battle with cancer, on January 17, 2024.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years Elaine, his 3 sons, Jeremy (Anna), Jesse (Haley) and John (Ashley).

Proud grandfather to Brylyn, Tylar, Oakley, Nash and Jessica Grace.

Also remembered as Grampy Spicer to Haleigh, Madisyn and Makynli. Born in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, Clifford was the youngest of 9 children born to Grace and Carl Spicer.

He will be missed by his surviving siblings, Calvin (Connie), Conrad (Donna) and Carolyn Lauzon and leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matt Anderson on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Predeceased by his parents, Bob & Marilyn.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Theresa and their children, Jordan, Tyler and Samantha.

As well as mother and father in law Sherri and Poppa Paul Thomas.

Cherished brother of Tom (Lisa) and Carrie (Peter); and doting uncle to Jacob, Vanessa, Carlie and Charlotte.

Matt’s friends were very special to him. He fostered long lasting friendships that have spanned decades and new ones as well, especially his gym family. He was truly ‘one of a kind’ and made a lasting impression on all who had the good fortune to have known him during his all too brief time with us.

As a young man, Big Matty was an accomplished athlete in baseball and rugby. As an adult, he seized the opportunity to pass on his wisdom and share his experience as coach to a number of boys’ baseball and girls’ softball teams in the Durham region.

Matt’s professional career spanned several years with a number of companies in the automotive sector here in Durham.

By all accounts, Matt was a hardworking and honest supervisor who many of his fellow employees would call a friend.

A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held for Big Matty on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm at The General Sikorsky Hall, located at 1551 Stevenson Road, Oshawa, L1L 0N7.

Beloved wife of the late James Norman Fenton.

Cherished mother of Michael (deceased) and his wife Monica, David and his wife Dimi (deceased), Jo Ellen, and Jennifer (Jason).

Pound grandmother of Krystal (Pat), Jason, Eleni, Madeleine, and Harrison and great grandmother of Bria, Alexa, Madison, and Jason Michael.

Dear sister-in-law of William and his wife Frances (deceased), John (deceased) and his wife Estelle, and McKinley and his wife Diane. Catherine was born August 9, 1937 in Toronto.

She was an only child to parents Peter and Audrey Harvey. Catherine’s early years were shaped by her father’s overseas military service during the Second World War.

She attended St. Joseph’s College School and became an independent young woman.

Catherine’s greatest treasure was her family. Catherine was blessed with a marriage of 63 years to her late husband James. She was a devoted homemaker to her children.

Catherine and James settled into retirement life in the beautiful town of Port Perry. She will be remembered for her faith in God, her witty sense of humour, and her love of dogs. May her Irish eyes keep smiling down upon us all!

The family of Catherine will receive friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, on Monday, January 22, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

A funeral mass for family and close friends will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m.

Carol was the Facebook queen of Local 46 and a diehard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. She loved her boys more than anything. All of her sons followed in their father’s footsteps and became pipefitters for Local 46, Toronto.
