It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Farncomb Le Gresley, son of Helen Jane (Farncomb) Le Gresley and Reginald Balfour Le Gresley of Ebor House, Newcastle.
Farncomb passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on September 20th, at the age of 96, leaving behind his beloved wife, Nancy, his four daughters—Trish Kimmerly (Scott), Sarah White (Brian), Joanne Baarbé (Johannes), and Katherine/Kathy Le Gresley— as well as 22 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family, including his only brother, Balfour Le Gresley of Toronto, and his many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Farny was a beloved teacher and avid scientist.
He loved boating, computers, ham radios, gardening, and camping, but none more than visiting with his friends and family. He will always be remembered for his amazing smile, his distinctive laugh, and his many, many stories.
A man of great knowledge and wisdom, Farny will never be forgotten. He had a lasting impact upon all who knew him.

81, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2022 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.
Gunter was an avid outdoorsman, an incredible handyman, and most passionate about family.
Coming to Canada from Austria as a young man, he possessed a never-ending ability to see the positive in things and took on every challenge with strength and determination.
Kind and generous, he loved to laugh and tell his stories, and was intent on leaving a legacy through his family. He was a man who gave you his time freely, his wisdom honestly, and his love abundantly. He was an incredible grandfather, father, partner and friend. He was known as Opa to so many, and words cannot express how much he will be missed.
A private service will be held for immediate family, followed by a celebration of life drop-in reception for anyone wishing to pay their respects. The reception will be held at #63 Campbell Drive, Uxbridge from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday September 19, 2022.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation (PCFF) or its fundraising arm "The Ride for Dad".
Gunter used to volunteer at their ride events and was supportive of men's cancer initiatives.

Frank Helps passed away peacefully and surrounded by his daughters on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 87th year.
Predeceased by his devoted and beloved wife of 57 years, Kathleen. Loved Father of his daughters Julie (Tom) Allen, Jackie (Ed) Szabunia, and Jeannette (Don) Jarron.
Adored by his four grandchildren Ashley Ward (Brent Stewart), Erica Ward (Tim Hartog), Samantha (John) Ferry, and Jackson Jarron and five great-grandchildren Makayla, Caiden, Brianna, Emma and Emalee.
Frank was born in Salford, England but lived most of his life in Oshawa.
He leaves behind his one sister in England; Audrey, and one sister and brother in Australia; Shelia and Ken.
Predeceased by his daughter Jayne, his brother Jeff and sisters Beryl and Betty.
Frank was admired and respected by everyone who knew him.
Frank embraced life with a positive attitude and an ability to laugh and have fun, even during difficult times.
He served in the Royal Core of Engineers in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and was a proud Veteran. A Mechanical Engineer by trade he started his career working for the British Railway which took him and his family to Nyasaland, Africa for three years in the early 60’s.
Upon returning to England, he continued to work for the British Railway cementing his passion and love of trains. His desire to create the best life for his family led him to immigrate to Canada in June of 1967, arriving with only one suitcase and his bag of tools.
He quickly found employment and a place to live and sent for his family to join him in this new country we would all come to love and call home.
Frank eventually retired in 1999 from a successful career at Ontario Power Generation.
Frank loved his family, music, dancing, travelling, and shooting the breeze over a Kilkenny or two. Many family dinners ended with a round of Drambuie and a toast to life … “L’chaim”.
He will be greatly missed by his family, but we know that “Sweet Caroline” is playing and he is once again dancing with his soulmate Kathleen.
His daughters would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff and residents of Harmony Hills Retirement Community for welcoming him into their hearts and his final home.
They also thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Support Workers on the 8th floor – G wing for their compassion and caring during his final weeks.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes a private family viewing has occurred and will be followed by cremation and interment at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation, in Frank’s honour, to the Royal Canadian Legion Oshawa Branch 42 or any charity of your choosing.

Surrounded by the love of his mommy and daddy, Baby Felix Joseph Giroux, of Bowmanville, passed away peacefully in our arms, on Sunday, July 31st, 2022.
Felix was born July 30th, 2022 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
Felix will forever be lovingly remembered by his parents, Joe and Kylie Giroux and his big brother James.
Felix will be missed by his Nana and Papa (Kerry & Mike Drews), his Grandma and Grandpa (Kathy & Joe Giroux) and his Grandpa and Grandma (Darren Martel & Kira Cope), great grandmothers, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Frank, a treasured Dad, Gran and Great Gran, on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 93rd year.
Devoted and cherished husband for 68 years of the late Sheila (2021), precious and beloved Dad of Janet (Matt) and Peter (Joanne), much adored and treasured Gran of Jordan (Yun), Megan (Michael) and Sebastian, and proud Great Gran of Kleia and Baby Breech.
Also predeceased by his brother Jim and sister-in-law Nora, sister Joan and brother-in-law Chris, sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-law Tony, and nephew Allan, all of the U.K. He is survived by his nieces and nephew and extended family in the U.K.
Dad had the best smile, laugh and sense of humour and was always the first to crack a joke. He cared for and looked after Mum until her passing only 8 months ago. It gives us comfort that he and Mum are now both together again forever. We are so thankful that he was able to meet Kleia and that he knew Baby Breech is on the way.
We will miss you everyday and you will remain in our hearts and be much loved forever.

Together they ventured eastwards eventually settling in Bowmanville where they raised their family of 5 children.
Special thank you to the wonderful Doctors and Nurses of Med/Surg Floor at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, who made Charlotte’s final days peaceful and supported her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOSEPH’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, on Thursday July 21st at 11 am, visitation will be held at the church from 10 – 11 am.

Matriarch of the family, predeceased by her loving husband John (2019).
Loving mother to Margaret, Edmund (Rose), Christopher (Nancy) and predeceased by John Jr., and Louise Doherty. Mother-in-law to Melba and Brian. Cherished Grandma to Cheryl (Leo), Laura (Eric), Crystal (Andrew), Julie (Marty), Elise, Sean, Amanda, Johnathan, Theresa (Adam), Joshua, Kelsey, Karley (Andrew), Rebecca (Michael) and predeceased by grandson Johnny. Great- Grandma to Jacob (Kira), Josh (Haley), Cash, Jackson, Sonny, Alex, Jonnie, Lucas, and Harper.
Therese was a pioneer in the transportation of special needs individuals and groups in southern Ontario since 1967.
She was a founding member of the Adult Development Program with Community Living Toronto. She was also a part founding member of Toronto RIDE Seniors Transportation.
