Loving wife of the late Lorne Terrence Douglas for 67 years.

Devoted mother of Dan (Karen), Deanna (Bruce), and Richard (Laurel). Survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King Street West, on Friday October 13th, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Patricia dedicated much of her life to her career as a Registered Nurse, caretaker and midwife.

She loved to spend her time knitting and reading her many novels.

On September 19, 2023, Peter David Ferreira passed away at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved husband of Susan (nee Bowker), father of Kristina (Cory) and Julian, and stepfather to Lindsey (Mike) and Kyle (Jennifer).

Dear brother to Patricia (Patrick), Stephen (Michele), Susan (Stephen), Bernadette (Peter), Debra (Stuart), Stanley, and Alison (Scott).

He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews.

For 35 years, Peter worked in the aircraft industry as a repair and overhaul fitter. As a Lead Hand, he was always willing to provide guidance and advice to those he worked with.

At home, Peter was early to rise and begin working on different projects. He often joked that by nine in the morning the day was half done!

Peter enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: his first coffee in the early hours with his dog, Cooper; barbeques with his family, wood-working, fishing and most of all, travelling with his wife.

The Ferreira family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Margaret Bahen Hospice for the care, compassion and kindness they showed during Peter’s final weeks.

Family, friends, and co-workers are invited to share their memories of Peter during a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, September 26th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME in Oshawa. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Lovingly remembered by Steven, Ed and Barry. Pat was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and eventually moved with her family to Lake of the Woods, Kenora, Ontario.

Patricia received her degree in Library Science and was instrumental in the development of the Pickering Public Library system and was a Head Librarian until her retirement.

During her career, Pat fought for women’s rights and pay equity in the workplace. An award-winning actress, Pat was a founding member of the Pickering Players and one of the original partners of the Herongate Barn Dinner Theatre in Pickering, Ontario.

Always in charge and running the show, Patricia made sure everyone played their roles. You could find her hand in all aspects of Herongate, from the kitchen, back stage, and on stage, in some of Herongate’s great comedies. A vivacious, beautiful woman, Patricia lived a busy and fulfilled life.

The family would like to thank the staff at Markhaven home for seniors for their wonderful love and care during Mom’s final year’s.

A private burial will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Herongate Barn Theater in Pickering on Saturday September 30th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Peter (Peadar) Boland.

Peter passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 91, on September 16, 2023.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Maura.

Born to Jack and Christina on July 21, 1932, in North Dublin.

Peter was the second child of nine and is survived by his two sisters Patricia and Breda.

Predeceased by siblings, Sean, Chris, Noel, May, Christine and Stephen. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his family: his daughter Suzanne (Frank) and Stephen (Orla) and grandchildren: Daraugh, Aislin, Siobhan, Seamus and Declan.

Additionally, he will be missed by his cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends in all parts of the world. There are too many to list.

Visitations will be held at the McEachnie Funeral Home in Pickering, on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel on September 26 at 11:00 a.m.

A special thanks to the caregivers at Winbourne Park who made his last few months comfortable after his illness.

Pam had many accomplishments in her lifetime. The thing that she was most proud of was being a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She filled their lives with love while sharing with them her interest in reading, storytelling and adventure. She was kind-hearted and an animal lover who had a special place in her heart for dogs and horses.

Throughout her life, Pam was active and loved being out in nature.

In her earlier years, she played soccer, liked to spend time by the lake and traveled on the walking trails through the woods.

She loved being surrounded by her family and friends sharing a laugh. Her fighting spirit and strength helped her endure her longtime battle with MS. She had a love for life that kept her smiling through it all.

A Mass will be held on Thursday September 21, 11am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 194 Simcoe St. North, Oshawa. Interment to follow at Duffin Meadows Cemetery, 2505 Brock Rd. N., Pickering. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pam was the loving mother of Eric and his wife Jaime, and Matthew.

She was anticipating the arrival of her Grandson this October, and was excited to become Grandma.

Pam is survived by her brother Poul Poulsson and his wife Gisele, and will be loved and remembered by her niece Amanda and nephew Poul.

She was predeceased by her mother Miriam Poulsson and her father Poul Poulsson (survived by Eva).
