(January 19, 1940 – October 16, 2020)It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Henebury of Whitby, Ontario announces her peaceful passing at Hillsdale Estates Long Term Care facility in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the age of 80.Irene is predeased by her husband Leo (December 2018) and will be dearly missed by her children Doug (Shelley), Tracy (Frank), Scott (Joanne) and her beloved grandchildren Lisa (Jason), Zachary, Adam, Michael, Joshua and great-grandson Jesse. Irene was predeceased by her parents Wilfred & Ruby Warriner, brothers Victor, Frank & Dennis and sisters Grace, Ruby & Dorothy. Irene was born in Sprucedale, Ontario, raised in Burks Falls, Ontario and relocated to Scarborough, Ontario where she met her husband Leo of 58 years while working at Supreme Aluminum Industries.Irene’s greatest joy was staying home to raise her three children and was beyond happy when her five grandchildren came along.Irene spent many weekends, summers and her later years back in Burks Falls at the cottage she loved and built with her husband and enjoyed her most precious moments with all her family there. At her request, a private family memorial will take place.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated.

At age 16 she moved with her parents and 7-year-old brother, William, to the edge of Stratford where she enjoyed living on a small farm.A few years later she met Ken on the tennis court. They soon scored love, married in Stratford, and moved to a charming house on top of a hill in the ¨township¨ of North York where they raised their 4 children. Irene loved reading, camping, cycling, watercolours, crafts, square dancing, cooking and not least, providing a loving welcoming home for many friends and family.Living in Uxbridge for the past thirty years she enjoyed the weekly card games at the Senior Centre, belonged to the Senior Scribes and the lesser known ¨Stitch and Bitch¨ group and had a life membership with the Uxbridge-Scott Historical Society.Irene endeared herself to many with her quiet integrity, sense of humor, wisdom and generosity.She will be dearly missed.She was mother to David (Jacqui), Bradley (Bev), Adele (Bob), and Christine (Ted); grandmother to Russell (Kallie), Curtis (Lisa), Ryan, Kyle (Victoria), Darren, Kevin, Andrew and Alice; and great grandmother to six children. She was predeceased by her brother William (Joan). Irene's wish is to be cremated and laid to rest at the Glendale Cemetery. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations on Irene's behalf to the new Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter, C.N.I.B. or Salvation Army.

He graduated from the University of Waterloo (BA Econ ‘91). Ihor travelled overseas many times.In 1991, he participated in organizing a national referendum for Ukraine’s independence in the Donbas region.In recent days, he was a hard-working and enthusiastic team-member of Safran Landing Systems. Ihor will be remembered as a fun-loving person with a sharp wit and humour, a devoted friend and a wise soul.May he rest in peace — Vichnaya Pam’yat’.
