It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Patrick Blakney on November 14, 2024, in Whitby, ON. Patrick was the dearly loved husband of Joan, a beloved father of two, and a cherished Poppa to four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Patrick was the son of John Henry Blakney and Myrtle Horseman and a brother to 11 siblings. His warmth, humor, and love for life left a lasting impression on his family and friends. He was truly one of a kind.
In accordance with Patrick’s wishes, there will be no visitation, funeral service, or celebration of life. Instead, he requested that donations be made to the Brain Cancer Research Department at the Hospital for Sick Children in his memory. His ashes will be returned to New Brunswick in the spring of 2025.
Ride on, Poppa, doing your pop-a-wheelies and donuts! Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who love you.

Denzil's family and friends will forever treasure his infectious laughter and the love he shared with everyone. A man of great character, he held his family and loved ones close to his heart. His legacy of love and laughter will remain with us always.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax). The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 11:30 AM, concluding at 12:45 PM. Burial will take place at Duffin Meadows Cemetery at 1:00 PM.

Frank John Millman, born April 1, 1944, in Uxbridge, Ontario, passed away at Ajax-Pickering Hospital on November 14, 2024, after suffering a cardiac arrest on November 12 at his home in Ajax.
Growing up on a farm in Epsom, Frank was the eldest of six brothers. His upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic and versatility, enabling him to excel in various roles, including as a maintenance supervisor in a latex glove factory, a builder and installer of floating docks, and a race car engine specialist. A perfectionist at heart, he approached every task with dedication and excellence.
In his youth, Frank enjoyed hunting, camping, and snowmobiling. Later in life, he traveled to Venezuela, Grenada, Jamaica, and Mexico, creating cherished memories with his family and friends.
Frank will be deeply missed by Diane, his loving wife of 58 years, his daughter Heather (Les), his family, and friends. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Ajax-Pickering Hospital, with special thanks to Dr. Julia Coppens for her honesty and compassion.
Visitation will be held at noon on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax), followed immediately by a funeral in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. A reception will then follow at the McEachnie Family Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feed the Need in Durham or a charity of your choice in Frank's memory.

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Cristina Mae Stewart at the age of 90. Born in Petitcodiac, New Brunswick, she moved to Toronto, Ontario as a teen with her parents and siblings. Cristina is survived by her children, Les (Sharon, predeceased), Patricia (Colin O'Hara), Linda (Ed Langlois), and Sheri (James Orvis). Predeceased by her parents Grant and Mabel, and her brothers Albert (Norma) and Harry (Karla). Survived by her loving sisters, Grace (Gene MacFadzen), Virginia (John LeClair), and Margaret (Bob).
Cristina was married to Wallace Stewart and started their family at age 18 with her only son, Leslie, and daughters Patricia and Linda. After several years of marriage, Wally and Cristina decided to amicably separate. Cristina later met Edward Siriska and during their relationship they had daughter, Sheri. She decided to raise Sheri by herself.
Cristina had several jobs during her lifetime and took pride in every job she had. From working in the children's department at Eaton's department store in Toronto, to serving as a grocery clerk at Strouds Country Market in Pickering, Ontario, Cristina's dedication to her work shone through. Her strong work ethic extended to factory roles, office cleaning, and even assembling sales books for wallpaper samples.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known to her family as "Nany." Her warmth, humor, and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Cristina loved reminiscing over a good cup of tea and long conversations with her loved ones.
Cristina passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 16th at her long-term care home, Lakeridge Gardens in Ajax. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff at Lakeridge Gardens for their dedicated care.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, Ontario.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lisa Marion Irving, who passed away on November 14, 2024, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Lisa was one month shy of her 62nd birthday.
Lisa was predeceased by her mom Nan Irving and dad Lawrence Irving, her aunt Grace, and uncle Jim Irving. She will be sadly missed by her big sister Karen Mccrae and brother-in-law Dan Mccrae. Aunt to Devon Gabus (Chris) and John Wasylyk (Kellie), and great-aunt to Dylan, Levi, Oliver, Anna, and Layla. She will also be missed by Dani Crosby and Katrina Jackson.
Lisa was a flame in a tiny autistic body. She was a connoisseur of all music and would light up your life with her toothless smile. She was a loving sister, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome—until it was time to “get out”—will be deeply missed.
Thank you to Community Living Oshawa Clarington for the love, attentiveness, and care given to Lisa for over 50 years. Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Sunday, November 24th at 3pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2pm to 3pm.

BOWEN, David Wayne – David was born in Cobourg, Ontario, on August 10, 1954, the son of Barbara and the late Clarence Bowen. Beloved husband of Ella and dear father of Michael, David passed away peacefully at their home in Oshawa, Ontario, on November 9, 2024, at the age of 71.
Loved by his siblings, twin brother Christopher (Ann), Claire (Scott), Ian (Janice), and Jeffrey, David will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

MALNICK, William Joseph "Bill" – Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Lakeridge Hospital on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Isabell (nee Kendall). Loving father of Lou Bomhof (Bob), Jo-ann Tikkanen (Elvis), Bernard Melnick (Lorrie), and Shannon Magee (Andy).
Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Julie Gaetan. Predeceased by his siblings Steven, Walter, John, and Annie. Bill will be missed by all his family and friends.
Born in Dominion Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Bill worked for 32 years at General Motors Canada. He dedicated much of his life to helping others as a substance abuse representative and as a sponsor to many through his 54-year membership in Alcoholics Anonymous.
