Sandy passed away peacefully at home with his family.

Born in Kincardine, ON, the youngest child of Ella Katherine Macpherson (Brown) and Franklin Edward Macpherson, he is predeceased by his parents as well as his brother, John Macpherson, sister, Mary Culbert, and brother-in-law Murray Culbert.

Sandy is survived by his beloved dog Hazel, his daughter, Sandra Bennett, son-in law, Don Sinclair, grandchildren Francine Houston (Patrick), and Stuart Bruce, and great-grandchildren, Georgia and Lloyd Houston, his sister-in-law Evonne Macpherson, and his nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by two former wives, Patricia Endicott (mother of his daughter), and Carolyn Macpherson.

After years in the Works department at the Town of Whitby and the Region of Durham, Sandy embarked on a long career in the waterworks industry, travelling by car across the continent selling infrastructure needed to supply water to cities, towns, and industries.

His job involved two of the things he loved most, driving, and meeting people.

A self-proclaimed ‘fun seeker’, his travels took him to all parts of North America from the Arctic Circle to Texas and from California to Maine. He made friends and had adventures wherever he went.

An extrovert’s extrovert, he was the life of any party.

He got great pleasure from being a member of the congregation at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church and was very appreciative of the many good friends he made there and the kindness they showed as his health declined.

He also loved the St. Luke’s birthday celebrations and entertainment nights.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held once Covid restrictions allow the type of celebration he would have wanted – lots of people, lots of fun, and perhaps a drink or two.

Memorial donations to the War Amps of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Our beloved cheery, witty, caring Anne has left us.

She lived life to the full until feeling ill and entering hospital in early November.

After several days she calmly gradually began a deep eternal sleep.

Anne's fondest memories of youth on her family's London-area farm were of her love for horses and tractor-driving.

To study at Western University she left the farm, but farm community values never left Anne.

At graduation and through her life, Anne felt proud and gratified to be among just a few women who'd then had that opportunity.

Armed with her degree, she launched a distinguished 40+ year career managing public and secondary school libraries in Sarnia, Edmonton, Manchester England, and Toronto.

Anne was lauded for many major contributions, notably the Independent Study Booklet recognized for years as an innovative and essential student learning tool.

Anne was a selfless, kind and caring humanitarian: a model inspriring each of us to enthusiastically, nonjudgmentally and boundlessly seek the best in others, and then relentlessly patiently cajole and guide them through productive fulfilling life journeys.

Celebration of Anne’s life on Monday, November 29, 2021 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Old Mill, 21 Old Mill Road, Toronto, Ontario M8X 1G5 (chapel entrance). NOTE that COVID Vaccine Passports and Photo ID will be required for entry.

In Anne’s memory, donations may be made to secondary school student bursaries at www.meritaward.ca or to heart stroke research at www.heartandstroke.ca or to mental health programs at www.toronto.cmha.ca.

Condolences may be offered at etouch.ca .

In Anne's memory, donations may be made at Merit Award Bursary Program or Heart & Stroke Foundation or CAMH.
