It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gus Andreoes on Sunday, October 6th, 2024, at the young age of 60. Gus was diagnosed in March 2024 with a rare and aggressive Stage 4 Cancer called Small Cell. After 6 months of treatments, pain, and moments of hope, his body could no longer carry on.

Born on October 17th, 1963, in Toronto, Ontario, to his loving parents Elleni Andreadis and Stavros Andreadis, Gus was known for his strong will, unwavering determination, and the love and support he gave his family. Despite his own illness, he stood by his mother’s side during her battle with cancer, a testament to his selflessness and love.

His greatest joy was his daughter, Alyssa Andreoes. From magical birthday parties to trips to Disneyland, Gus made sure Alyssa’s childhood was filled with adventure and joy. In the months leading up to his passing, Alyssa's loyalty and care cemented their inseparable bond of love. Gus's devotion to his daughter was as strong as ever, and he never missed a chance to express his pride in her.

A talented and creative contractor, Gus worked as a successful carpet and flooring installer. His work ethic and attention to detail left a lasting impression on his clients. Outside of work, Gus loved sports and was an exceptional athlete, excelling in ball and ice hockey. His endurance, stamina, and dedication on the field were just as impressive as his commitment to his work and family.

Fond memories of childhood filled Gus’s heart—watching Sanford & Son with his family, sipping chi tea, and cheering on the Leafs and Blue Jays with his father. These cherished moments left a lasting mark on his life.

Gus is survived by his beloved daughter Alyssa, his mother Elleni, and his sister Gina, who shared a lifelong bond of love and memories. Gus now joins his father, Stavros, in Heaven. While our hearts mourn, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.

A memorial service will be held for Gus at Elgin Mills Cemetery on Sunday, October 13th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
