Beverly Ann (Whyte) Britton went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on November 24, 2024. Born December 17, 1949, to Fred and Gladys (Gyatt) Whyte in Toronto, Bev was a true matriarch. Her greatest joy and achievement was her close-knit family and her role as a caregiver to all.
Deeply loved Mom to Dawna and Paul Jr/Paulie (Tricia). Cherished Nana Banana to Paul James/PJ (Liz), Jessie (Steve), Dallas, and Zachary (Emily). Great Nana to Jaeden, Abel, Rhett, Callie, and Riley. Best friend and sister to Gail and Joyce (Joe). Special Aunt to Jason, Faith, and Daniel.
Predeceased by her husband Paul Sr., siblings Jack, Jimmy, Neil, and Dawna, and special nephew Joshua. Bev will be sorely missed by extended family and friends, including Kevin and Greg, many nephews and nieces, and foster children Sherry, Harvey, Shane, and Terry. She is also predeceased by foster son Chris.
Those who knew Bev (Bevie) will fondly remember her by 6 F's: Faith, Family, Friends, Food, Fun, and Farts!

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna Irene Bayliss (Defir), who passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, at the age of 79. Deanna was a beloved wife to David Bayliss for 57 years and a devoted mother to Christopher Bayliss (Laurel) and Julie-Anne Bayliss. She was also a proud grandmother to Daniel and Grace. Deanna is deeply mourned by her siblings Helen Neilsen, Marion Martin (Graham), and Edward Defir.
Visitation will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby, on Wednesday, December 4th, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm in the Barnes Chapel. A memorial service will follow immediately after the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Deanna.

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 61.
Will be missed by his sister Carol (Fred) and his brother Michael (Kerry), his children Rhonda, Michelle, Ryan, Bradley, and Mark, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ron will be fondly remembered by all his nieces and nephews.
“A man of many passions, he captured the world through his lens, marveled at the grit of mining and construction, and found joy in the simple thrill of a good drive.
Throughout his life, he loved building model vehicles, a hobby he embraced even more in his later years, creating intricate pieces with care and precision."

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Patrick Blakney on November 14, 2024, in Whitby, ON. Patrick was the dearly loved husband of Joan, a beloved father of two, and a cherished Poppa to four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Patrick was the son of John Henry Blakney and Myrtle Horseman and a brother to 11 siblings. His warmth, humor, and love for life left a lasting impression on his family and friends. He was truly one of a kind.
In accordance with Patrick’s wishes, there will be no visitation, funeral service, or celebration of life. Instead, he requested that donations be made to the Brain Cancer Research Department at the Hospital for Sick Children in his memory. His ashes will be returned to New Brunswick in the spring of 2025.

BOWEN, David Wayne – David was born in Cobourg, Ontario, on August 10, 1954, the son of Barbara and the late Clarence Bowen. Beloved husband of Ella and dear father of Michael, David passed away peacefully at their home in Oshawa, Ontario, on November 9, 2024, at the age of 71.
Loved by his siblings, twin brother Christopher (Ann), Claire (Scott), Ian (Janice), and Jeffrey, David will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Walter "Wally" Booth passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 100. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 78 years, Rosetta (nee Lewis); his children, Brian Booth and Jacqueline Booth (Nick); his granddaughters, Sarah-Jane Finlay and Heather Campbell, and his great-grandchild, Finley Valdstyn.
Born in London, England, Wally was a skilled Brass Instrument Maker at Boosey & Hawkes, where he transferred to Canada at age 28. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship, Wally made and repaired instruments for prominent organizations such as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and The Salvation Army Bands. He enjoyed sharing his expertise, often visiting schools to teach students about instrument care. Wally retired after a distinguished 40-year career but continued his work well into his 80s.
In 1964, Wally and Rose built their home near Claremont, Ontario. There, he pursued hobbies such as organic gardening, homeopathy, photography, and traveling with Rosetta. Known for his extensive collection of tools, many handcrafted, Wally was always willing to help neighbors and friends with projects or lend a rare tool.
Wally's health remained robust until his mid-90s, after which he experienced a heart attack. He spent his last years at Woodhaven in Markham, where he received compassionate care from the dedicated staff on the Markham floor.
Cremation has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge. A celebration of Wally's life will be held at a later date. Friends may send condolences at www.lowandlow.ca.
