Our family lost our colorful storyteller and beloved wife, mom, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend with the unexpected passing of Lynda Marie Ford on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne, and her daughters, Allison (Josh) and Victoria (Max). She will be deeply missed by her siblings Sharon Wilbee, Barb Barfoot, Carol Hansen, Jim Hansen (Marie), John Hansen (Joanne), and Carl Hansen, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews.
Known affectionately as "Louie," Lynda was quite the character— a warm and generous mother and friend who loved to spin a tale, often with a twinkle in her eye and a little added embellishment. She was a family historian, a role she shared with her sister Sharon, ensuring no memory was lost. She was also a master gardener, with a cherished pink rose bush in Cresswell still blooming in her memory, and an excellent cook who also enjoyed a good meal out.
Lynda found joy behind the wheel, heading to places she loved: a casino, a bingo game, The Barn, a good auction, or simply out for an adventure with her sister Karen. Her beloved dogs, especially Sage, Sunshine, and Genie, each held a special place in her heart. Louie was an avid reader, enjoying everything from the Toronto Star to true crime stories, a genre she shared with her sister Carol.
Her collection of Blue Mountain pottery was remarkable, as was her treasured collection of creamers and sugar bowls, which she added to every anniversary with Wayne.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Evelyn Hansen, her younger siblings Judy, Tom, and Karen, and her infant sister Dale.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lynda's Life will be held in the spring.
Memories may be shared at lowandlow.ca.
We love you, and we miss you, Lynda. Enjoy all the chocolate you want! Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at LOW & LOW FUNERAL HOME.

Jana Fajer
October 9, 2024
Jana Fajer passed away in her home on October 9, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 61. Having bravely battled and fully recovered from breast cancer, Jana later succumbed to a heart attack, believed to be caused by her history of high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Born in Bojnice, Slovakia, she moved to Canada mid-life and built a new chapter here.
Jana was a kind and loving woman who cherished her son and daughter above all else, always placing their well-being above her own. She was deeply loved by her entire family, including her three brothers and her parents, with whom she stayed in touch every week until her passing. She will be missed dearly by all.
In her free time, Jana had a passion for cooking, nurturing plants, learning new languages, exploring nature, and watching videos about different cultures and cuisines. She even enjoyed gaming in her spare moments.
Her wish was to have her cremated remains spread amongst nature, a wish that will be honored by her son and daughter, who have only recently been reunited after her passing.
There will be no in-person gathering or service. This tribute page will serve as the primary space for anyone who knew Jana to share stories, photos, and memories. All who knew her are invited to contribute. May she rest in peace.
