It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother Ruth Marsh (Granny), in her 91st year, peacefully at home.

Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband John “Jack” Marsh.

She was the cherished mother of John (the late Edleen), Doug (Sharon), Frank (Robin) and Robert (Susan).

She will be sadly missed by siblings Marj McGee, Jackie Moschini, Ted Tate and Terry Tate. Also predeceased by her siblings Lexie Tate, Ray Tate, John Tate and Sandra (Bubbles) Lewis.

Granny was so proud to be a grandmother to 12 grandchildren Joleen, Ken, Joey, Amy, Andrew, Nicky, Vicky, ennifer, Jason, William, Dustan and Jessie.

Also loved by her oodles of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Respectfully, our mother asked that her family privately attend the internment and celebrate her life.

Mom loved to dance, bowl and listen to our dad play the piano.

Our memories of our mother will live on with us forever. To our mom, go join dad he has been waiting for you. Rest in Peace Granny.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russ “Bird” Shayne Brillinger on November 28, 2023 at the age of 58 years.

Russ is survived by his Mom Judi (late Paul), his brother Ken (Kim) and his nieces Alyshia and Jessica.

Russ will forever be remembered by his many cousins, aunts, uncles, his friends and his Johnson Equipment family, where he worked for over 33 years.

Russ had a passion for music, and loved to create, play and perform with Ken and the many bands along his journey.

His presence and talent behind the drum kit will greatly be missed by all who have had the pleasure of hearing him play and those who have played with him.

Family and friends are invited to Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge on Sunday December 3, 2023 from 1 – 4 PM. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel on Monday December 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM.

Robert Kenneth Abbott known as Bob of Newcastle Ontario born on January 22,1954, passed into the glory of Heaven, Tuesday November 28th 2023.

Eternally loved by God his Heavenly Father, unconditionally loved by his beloved wife Janice Louise Abbott (Ewald) happily married for almost 42 years through thick and thin, and proud loving father of Amielia, Amberlea, Madeline & Nathaniel.

His greatest love is His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and he loved to share his faith with family, friends and anyone who crossed his path.

He was a faithful member, deacon and elder at NFBC for 35 yrs. Up until Bob's retirement he worked at the Regional Municipality of Durham, retiring after 20 yrs.

His greatest hobby in retirement years was vegetable gardening. Bob also loved baking and made the best pecan pies in the world.

He enjoyed baking and gardening right up until his hospitalization. We are heart-broken to have to say good-bye for now but look forward to the day in heaven when we will be united together again, praising God.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Thursday November 30th, 2023 from 6 - 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held at NEWCASTLE FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH, 200 King Avenue East Newcastle on Friday December 1st, 2023 at 1 pm, with visitation from 12 - 1 pm.

Memorial Donations may be made to Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church, Debt Reduction Fund.

The most Generous and Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, on November 27th 2023 at the age of 81.

Cherished daughter of the late Ed and Irene.

Devoted wife of Robert (Bob) for 47 wonderful years.

Loving mother of Carol (Mike), Ron (Sharon), and the late Tim.

Fun-loving and cherished grandmother of Megan (David Fargey), Chantel, Shawn, Michelle and Tyler.

And the most cherished great grandmother of Damon, Jase, Maddison, Abel and Matthew. Adoring sister of the late Claire, Murial, Ronnie and Roland. Reta will be dearly missed by her extended family, and her many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME Oshawa, on Saturday December 9, 2023 at 11 a.m.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Reyta Pizzuti on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.

She will missed and loved always by her lifelong partner and husband Mario, daughters Cheryl McConachie (Hartley), Tracy Deschenes (Steve), Terry Fry (Jeremy), Lia Pizzuti (Mike) and her sons Mario Pizzuti Jr. (Judy) and Steven Pizzuti.

Remembered always as an awesome Grandma/Nonna to Jacquelyn Pizzuti (Aaron), Michael Christensen (Lindsay), Amy Vincent (Tyler), Jason Pizzuti (Lexy), Marc Pizzuti (Kristen), Alexis Van de Kamp (Chris), Kevin McConachie (Cody) and Amber Pizzuti.

She got so much joy and laughter as a GiGi to Lily, Mira, Gwen, Conner, Nash, Aila, Tali, Liam and Damian (pre-deceased).

Reyta was born in Kincardine, grew up in Lucknow, and then moved to Toronto where she started her career as an Educational Assistant. She moved to Beaverton in 1973 and worked as an EA for the Durham Public School Board for over 20 years.

Reyta loved to exercise and stay healthy. She loved cross-country skiing, curling, and walking for miles every day. People might remember seeing her at the local gym pumping some iron too.

She loved gardening, which she was very talented at. She also enjoyed spending time with all her dear friends.

We will miss her wit, smiles and home cooked meals so much.

A celebration of life will be taking place at The Beaverton Curling Club, 164 Main St., on Saturday, December 16th at 2pm.

Ronald Almer Widgett died peacefully, on November 13, 2023, after a long battle with congestive heart failure and kidney disease.

He is survived by Margaret, his wife of 70 years; his sons, Brian (Elaine) and Steven; his grandchildren, Ian (Amy), Keith, Samantha (Ryan), Conor and Catherine; and 3 great-grandsons, Ciaran, Theo, and Emmet. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He also has a dear and special aunt, Alice Bolton of Bruce Mines.

Ron was predeceased by his mother, Jennie May (Bolton); father, Almer Allison Widgett; and brother, Albert Widgett. Ron was born on April 4, 1935, growing up in the City of Toronto.

He met Margaret in 1950, at age 15, through his best friend, Bill Gilmour (Margaret's older brother).

By 1952, they were engaged and married on July 4, 1953.

Ron joined the Toronto Fire Department in August of 1957 and was promoted to Captain, retiring in 1993 after a long and rewarding career of 36 years.

Ron and Margaret enjoyed travelling and were able to visit many places but enjoyed their winters in Florida the most. Their cottage on Eel's Lake was always a special place.

After retiring, Ron and Margaret moved to Port Perry and enjoyed 20 wonderful years with many friends and family at Canterbury Commons before moving to a retirement home in Whitby.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, or any other charity of your choice will be appreciated by the family.
