Cherished grandfather of Jenesia, Janiya, Jani, Ja’Kaiya, Temitayo, Titilayo, Tolulope, Zion and Zayn. Caring brother of Jennifer, Judith, Patrick and Sam.

Predeceased by his parents Daniel & Udora and his siblings Henrietta, Dora, Bula, Winston, Fenwick and Nick.

Dear friend of Earl, Eugene, George and Gloria.

Henry will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, the Goodridge, Roberts, Farrell, Akindipe and Lyons families.

Henry enjoyed singing, listening to all types of music, and watching sports including wrestling, baseball and basketball.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa).

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Courtice. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

73, of Whitby ON, beloved son of the late Emilie and Arnold Tim, passed away on September 3, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He will be profoundly missed by his wife of 50 years, Kathryn, and lovingly remembered by his children; Corinne Vivian (Woodrow), Matthew Tim (Melanie) and Michelle Tiller (Darren); and granddaughter Madison.

Born in Bregenz, Austria, Hans was the eldest of six children (Albin, Renate, Sylvia, Harry and Horst).

After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Hans continued his career with the Toronto Police Service where he served honourably for 35 years, retiring as a Sergeant.

Hans was active in his community, volunteering his time to serve food to those in need, working on election campaigns, acting as trustee for his church, and convening and promoting pickleball; coordinating clinics for seniors. Hans was a family man.

His family hopes this same attendance will be received as relatives and friends are invited to attend GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 540 Cromwell Ave, Oshawa (905-728-4381) on Monday, September 12 at 1 p.m. for the funeral service followed by the graveside service at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby, at 2:30 p.m. The family are grateful for the prayers and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time.

Adored “Big Nanny” of Madison, Trent, Simon, Lauren, Chris, Ethan, Emma, Michael, Logan, Zach, Avery and Nova.

She will be greatly missed by her sister and best friend Gladys Rice (Stephen).

Helen will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Helen is now reunited with her beloved husband Joe, parents Alva "Red", Owna, and siblings Ken (Lucy, Delores), Keith (Marg), Betty (Gino), and Doug (Wilma).

Helen was the head of the family and loved spending time with each and every one of them.

While hosting meals (always with dessert) she would tell stories about her life working at the bindery, the adventures she would get into with her family when they lived up north and the life she created in Courtice and Oshawa.

Helen would often be found in her garden, enjoyed crafting, traveling, baking and she always had an eye for fashion. She enjoyed spending her summers at their trailer in Lakefield.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. As per Helen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will follow this week.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our mother, Helen I Roussy, nee Walton, at Regency Manor in Port Hope on August 17th, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She was 84.

She leaves behind her children Lynn Buziak (Brian), Paul (Ann) and Jacquie Stevens (Terry), as well as her long-time partner, Jim Franklin and his daughter Laura.

She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Michelle Buziak (Dean), Chase Palmer-Roussy, Brianna Buziak (Nick) and Jay Palmer-Roussy, as well as her beloved great granddaughter Paisley.

She is survived by sisters-in-law Maxine Walton, Belle Roussy, Pierrette Roussy and brother-in-law Arthur Stein, as well as many nieces and nephews on both the Walton and Roussy sides.

She also leaves behind many loving and caring friends.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Jacques Yves Roussy and her son Michael, as well as her parents Helen (Scanlon) and George Walton of Barrie and her siblings Merene (Jim Reed), Mark (Ann), Matthew (Ivy), Edward, John (Evelyn) Thomas, and Ruth Stein as well as her husband’s family, Salomon Roussy (Claire), Claire Tennier (Arthur) Adrian Roussy and Alberic Roussy.

Helen was a lover of the outdoors, hummingbirds, and all small creatures and was at her happiest sitting outside and feeding the chipmunks.

She was a special nanny to so many little kids and loved throwing parties for them and hosting hers and Jim’s annual May 24th BBQ and fireworks event.

She loved her beloved Barrie and returned for a visit as recently as August 10th as arranged by the Bridges of Dreams program.

Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (365-800-4827) on Sunday, August 21st, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at ST. THERESE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, (3800 Courtice Road N.) on Monday, August 22, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

He was a man of strong values and principles, and was a presence when he entered any room. He had an engaging smile, quick wit and was the consummate fixer. If you had a problem, he was there to help.

He was most proud of his five children and their life successes. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Julie Ford (nee Stebbins), Michael, Lynn, Cheryl (Stephen), Dan (Cheryl) and David (Franca). He also leaves behind his ten grandchildren, Marcus (Jennifer), Danielle, Jonathan, Renee, Katie (Devon), Connor, Gillian, Matthew, Cameron, Serena; and two great-grandchildren, Heath and Aspyn.
