Passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, after a brief illness, in his 94th year.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Erma Louise and his sons Harley Wayne ‘Sam’ and Gregory Dean.
Loving father of JoAnne and her husband Brian Callery and Gail (Sharon) and her husband Paul Meredith.
Devoted Grampie of Jeff, Gary, Katie, Chrissy, Candace, Jessica, Hayley, Daniel and Shelby and great-grandfather of Andy, Clarice, Bianca, Layla, Bear, Ava and Sammy.
Dear brother of Arthur and his wife Mona. Harley will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends.
Visitaiton will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME (124 King St. E., Oshawa).
A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel.

Age 81, of Port Hope, Ontario passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Helmut was born December 9, 1940 in Stuttgart, Germany.
A visitation for Helmut will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 1:30 PM at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, ON L1E 2R7.

Hugh went to be with the Lord in his 85th year on May 10, 2022.
He died peacefully in his sleep at home with loved ones by his side.
Hugh was devoted to his family and was deeply loved by his wife of 60 years, Donna and his children Cindy (Rob) Archibald, the late Kathy (James) Schmidt, Diane (Murray) Rundle and Andrea (Ralph) Spoltore.
Hugh was a wonderful grandpa to Eric, Kyle and Nicole Archibald; Jake, Adam, Nathan, Emily and Hannah Schmidt; Matt (Hanna), Ben, Josh and Grace Rundle; Kenzie and Johnny Spoltore; and papa to Christian Archibald.
He is also fondly remembered by his sister Jean Tanczos, his brother Ron (Barb) Swain, his brother-in-law Paul (Diane) Kerr and many nieces and nephews. Hugh grew up on a family farm on Lake Scugog in Valentia. Hugh graduated from the University of Toronto with a BASc in Electrical Engineering and later joined Andrew Canada Inc. where he spent 29 years, finishing his career as General Manager and President.
Hugh gave back to his community in a variety of ways including many years on the boards of IEEE Canadian Foundation, Durham Region Manufacturers Association and Whitby General Hospital.
He was an active church leader serving on the deacons board and missions committee, as well as leading Sunday school and small group Bible studies.
Hugh’s favourite place was the cottage he finished building himself, where he would spend his summers with family and his winters snowmobiling. His wise counsel, generosity, integrity, and witty sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Peacefully, with family by her side and after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, at age 64, Heidi (nee Kurrle) passed away.

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum Hazel.
After a prolonged battle with Vascular Dementia and all that disease entails, she is now at peace.
Mum is predeceased by her “One True Love” our Dad George Fowler(2003).
Together, leaving all that they held dear in England they embarked on a journey to build a better life in Canada as did many young people in the early 1950’s from Europe post World War II.
An avid Tennis Player, and in later years a Golfer, Mom was a devoted Nurse focused on Geriatrics.
Hazel will be sadly missed by her Daughter Lisa(Halahan) and husband Bill, her son Neil, and wife Debra, Grandchildren; Samantha Barker and husband Dan, Charlotte Halahan and partner Kyle Foster, Jessica Rochman-Fowler and partner Taylor Akin, Max Rochman-Fowler and fiancée Hannah Golightly, and Great Grand-Children, Grayson, Sawyer, and Arlo Roy.

It’s with deep sadness the family of Henry (Heinrich) Kahrs announces his peaceful passing with his family by his side, in his home he built in Campbellford on March 29, 2022.
Henry was born in Soehlingen, Germany to the late Heinrich Ludwig Kahrs & Katharina Kahrs on December 15, 1930.
Beloved husband of the late Helga Kahrs and partner to Annie.
Loving father to Richard (Donna), Howie (Joan) and the late Mark. Cherished Opa to Tyler (Kylee), Cassondra, Kyle and Katie. Predeceased By 2 sisters, 3 brothers and loved by his last serving brother Hanes Kahrs in Germany.
Henry will be lovingly remembered by all of his family and friends in Canada and Germany.
Henry came to Canada in June of 1954 with only $20 but with his will power and strength he found a career in painting and lived a happy life in Canada. Henry always had great interest in golfing and fishing.
The family wish to acknowledge and thank Dr Osborne for all his support and always following Henry’s wishes and keeping him comfortable.
The family also wants to thank Danielle & Ashley from SE Health for the amazing nursing care, kindness and compassion.
At Henry’s request no services are being held at this time.

Ross retired from General Motors after 34 years of dedicated service.
He loved to spend time cruising in his Cadillacs and with family at his trailer at Cedar Valley Trailer Park.
