David, a retired RCMP officer and a dedicated member of the Ajax/Bowmanville & Durham Regional Police Services, was a beloved husband to Camille for 63 years. He was a loving father to Michael (Terra), Mark (Annette), Brett (Erin), and Michelle (Liam). Cherished as “Gramps,” he was adored by his ten grandchildren, Kyle (Danielle), Callie (Brock), Kohl (Veronica), Brigha, Julia (Graham), Kiera, Kendra, Sophie-Lynn, Griffin, and Josephine, and as "Great Gramps" to his great-grandchildren, Cora, Troy, Finnigan, and Violet.

David is also remembered by his dear sister Margaret (Neil), his sisters-in-law Betty (Norman) and Carol (George), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His dedication to family and community touched many lives, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Rosa was the embodiment of love, kindness, and devotion. She leaves behind her cherished daughter Diane Yolevski, son-in-law Jim Yolevski, and daughters-in-law Erica and Emily Yolevski. She will be deeply missed by her grandsons, Alexander and Marcus Yolevski, and her great-grandsons, Jacob, Joshua, and Elio Yolevski. Rosa is also survived by her dear brother, Salvatore Zavaglia. She is predeceased by her husband Domenico, son Marco, parents Carmela and Giuseppe, and siblings Domenic, Vincenzo, and Angela.

A devoted gardener, Rosa brought beauty into the world with her flowers and warm spirit. She loved spending time with family, cooking delicious meals, and enjoying her time at the casino with a playful spirit. Her love, kindness, and joy for life touched all who knew her.

Born in Kalamata, Greece, Angelos was the beloved husband of Barbara for 59 years, devoted father to Vicky, Kiki (Dean), Georgia (Graham), and George (Gina), and a proud “Papou” to his cherished grandchildren Damian (Jessica), Evan, Maya, Paige, Jayden, and KC.

Angelos, the eldest of seven siblings, immigrated to Canada on September 4, 1963, embodying resilience and dedication. He built a new life in Canada, where he later reunited many of his siblings. Angelos worked for over 25 years at Metro Homes for the Aged, retiring with pride in his service to others. A dedicated family man, he cherished traveling back to Greece to visit family and friends in his beloved Kalamata.

Angelos leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and commitment that will be cherished for generations. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Athanasios (Tom) Constand, who peacefully passed away at home on October 28, 2024, at the age of 89. Tom was born in Elefsina, Greece, and in 1951, he began a new life in Canada. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 65 years, Maria, and his children Dean (Andrea) and Diea (Aryiris), as well as his grandchildren Marissa (Brian), Panayiotis, and great-granddaughter Sophie.

Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. His entrepreneurial spirit flourished early, culminating in the success of the family’s restaurant, Surf N Steer, in north Toronto. He took joy in creating memorable experiences for his patrons, and his legacy of kindness and resilience will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Visitation will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a chapel service from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment will occur at 12:00 p.m., with a reception from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to celebrate Tom’s life.

Born on May 10, 1943, in Agia Paraskevi, Florina, Greece, Elleni later immigrated to Canada, where she built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and resilience.

Elleni was the cherished mother of her daughter Gina and son Gus (deceased), and an adoring grandmother to Alyssa. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her partner George, who brought her much joy in her later years.

Known for her vibrant spirit, Elleni filled any room with her radiant smile and quick wit. She was a talented cook, delighting family and friends with her homemade bread, lasagna, and Greek specialties. Her zest for life extended to travel, dancing, gardening, and enjoying time at the beach as a “snowbird” in Florida.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., where Elleni will be laid to rest alongside her beloved son Gus.

Susan Lee Rohrer, 75, of View Lake, Ontario, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, following a long and courageous battle with dementia. Born on October 26, 1949, to Henry Cantrell and Cora Lee Linton, Susan was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She was married for 53 years to her husband, Kenneth Rohrer (2023), and was a devoted mother to her children, Michelle and Jeffrey (Trung).

Susan shared her life and passions with Ken, supporting him in farming, land development, and building their dream home on the lake. Together they enjoyed showcasing their cherished 1971 Chevelle convertible at local car shows. Susan loved craft shows, shopping, and lunches with her sister, Marlene Werry (2019), with whom she shared many cherished laughs. Winters were spent in Florida, where she enjoyed line dancing, yoga, swimming, and bike riding.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate nurses and PSWs at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes and Bayshore Home Health, especially Laura (2024) and Dorothea, for their outstanding care and friendship to Susan in her final years.

“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, As long as I’m living my Mommy you’ll be.”

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street, Port Perry. Cremation has taken place, and per Susan’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.

Beloved husband of Rhonda for 34 years. Loving father of Kaylea (Kurtis), Bryce, Madisson, Aleisha, and Sydney. Adored Poppy of Karter, Kinsley, Kade, and Sutton. Duncan will be deeply missed by Alicia Marshall.

Predeceased by his parents, Donald and Theresa, and siblings Don and Doreen. Cherished uncle of Donny, Nicole, and Allison. Lovingly remembered by many family members and friends.

Duncan proudly retired from Hillsdale Manor & Estates after more than 25 years of dedicated service. Known for his love of fishing, he found joy in simple pleasures like watching TV, Tim Hortons double doubles, ice cream, and chats with Google's Alexa. Known for his quick wit, dark humor, and prankster spirit, he brought joy and laughter to every conversation.

Above all, Duncan adored his family and delighted in spending time with them, especially with his beloved grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He was proud of his children and loved sharing stories about them. Duncan’s presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date, and cremation has been arranged.

In memory of Duncan, donations to the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Foundation for the R. S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre or the Canadian Lung Association are greatly appreciated by the family.
