He had a zest for living, enjoying every minute. He will be remembered for his unconditional love, smiles and humor, always a joke to tell.

George was a loving husband to June Hilda (predeceased February 2, 2007) and predeceased by his brothers. Uncle to Lorena (Earl) Cross and many nieces and nephews who often felt he was like a father or Grandpa to them. George had many friends and wonderful neighbors who will miss him dearly.

He always had a way of making the simplest things in life feel special.

George will continue to be a reminder to live life to the fullest, seek out wonderful people, explore exciting places; be kind and lead with love and most importantly always laugh.

A life-long farmer in the Township of Eldon, “Honest” Grant enjoyed life to the fullest, hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton, on Wednesday February 22nd from 2-4P.M and 6-8P.M.

Funeral service will be held at Fair Havens Community Church, Bolsover, on Thursday February 23rd at 1:00 P.M with visitation one hour prior to service.

Gilbert is survived by his loving and supportive wife Sheila, his wonderful and fabulous daughter Camille with Carol, stepsons James (Lisa) and Brian, grandchildren Charlie and Cameron, his most wonderful loving mother Alice, brothers and sisters Sandra (Dean), Robert (Debbie), Barry (Jay), and Holly and his nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father Gilbert and brother Michael.

He is remembered fondly by his wonderful friends who were an extension of his family. Thank you to the magnificent staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gwen, predeceased by her loving husband, Ronald Frank Massey.

Also, predeceased by siblings Kay Forsey, Muriel Albin, Reg Willatts, and parents Edward and Gladys Willatts.

Lovingly missed by daughter, Karen Waters(John), and their family Steven (Leah), and Natalie; son Ron Massey (Nina) and their family Melissa (Russ), Tommy(Erin).

Great Grandma to Ryker and Ava.

Gwen worked Hallman’s in Bowmanville sewing leather gloves, then Eaton’s, Oshawa, when they opened until her retirement at age 64.

Mom loved baseball and won All Ontario Champions with The Forresters.

She loved birds and animals and fed all that came her way.

Mom loved to dance and did so around her living room to age 93.

Her and Dad loved their time at Rice Lake for the last 44 years and made lifelong friends.

Much love until we meet again.

Gerry was born March 31, 1942, in East York, Ontario, the son of the late Kenneth and Jessie Harkness.

He worked for many years in his father’s cartage business, Harkness Cartage, and enjoyed telling stories of his experiences delivering goods throughout southwestern Ontario.

Gerry enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly camping, which is a pastime all of his children and their families continue to enjoy.

The family will welcome visitations at McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax, Ontario, on Thursday, February 16, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Stephen Hopkins, age 65, of Oshawa, Ontario on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

He is survived by his devoted wife and partner, Kim, of 45 years, and his loving children Hilary (Andrew) and Alexandra.

Cherished grandfather of Catherine and Liam.

The heart and soul of his family, he was a loving husband, incredible dad, grandfather and a loyal friend. He was known for his tender heart, gracious charm and cheeky sense of humour.

His magnetic personality and smile drew everyone to him. His positive attitude and comforting presence will be missed by all that knew him. His love for his family was immeasurable.

A devoted and engaged father and grandfather who always had treats in his pockets, he will continue to be their number one fan and supporter. His family will miss their biggest cheerleader.

He always had a kind word and welcoming smile for everyone he met or shared his presence with. His caring and supportive nature allowed people around him to know they could lean on him. His courage, determination and charm defined him.

To know him was to love him as witnessed by his loyal friendships with childhood friends and former colleagues. Most importantly, his acts of kindness have touched many lives. He loved unconditionally and was the fierce protector of those he loved.

He has always been, and will continue to be a pillar of strength for his family. His unwavering determination and resilience throughout his journey with his condition has made him a hero to all those who knew him. His humour, humble ways, gentle smile and kindness will live on forever through all of us.

We were very lucky to be able to spend his remaining time together, talking about the good times. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

A celebration of life for Glen will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario. A reception to follow will occur.

Heaven has welcomed home his faithful servant Gordon Charles Munson, born in Hopewell Cape New Brunswick, the son of the late Jean and Garfield Munson.

Gord left us suddenly on Monday, January 30, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

As a devoted husband and protector to Elizabeth (nee Bossoska), he will be deeply missed. He was her safe haven of love and laughter.

A gentle and loving dad to Debra (Darren) White, Kimberly, and Steven (Mandy), he taught and led through grace and example.

He had a unique bond with each of his grandchildren, Andrew, Samuel, Ava and Ally and was the embodiment of unconditional love.

Always there to help, he was a dedicated brother to Sharron, Donna, Carol (Jim), and Heather (Dexter), and a caring mentor to his many nieces and nephews.

Gord lightened the load of life through his lighthearted humour with everyone he met.

The family will receive friends at Emmanuel Community Church, 1680 Reach Street in Port Perry on Friday, February 3rd at 2 p.m. His heart was at home at Cape Enrage, NB, where he was guided by the tide.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Waterside Cemetery Albert County in New Brunswick.

In his memory, donations would be appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Young Life North Durham or a youth CHARITY of your choice.
