Suddenly passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at his home, at the age of 52.
Predeceased by his parents George Arthur & Rose Bell Jones and his beautiful sister Lynn Periera.
Loving brother of Gary and his wife Kathy.
Cherished uncle of Jonathon and Ryan.
Dearest Fiona and many many other friends that he loved.
Anthony will forever be remembered for his witty sense of humour and his huge, kind heart. He was driven by an invisible force to make people smile and laugh.
Anthony had few loves in his life as big as his love of sports.
One such love would have been his beloved pet and companion Casey.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14 from 1pm-3pm at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME
(124 King St. E., Oshawa). Please join his family for a reception from 3pm-6pm at Nookie’s Soul Kitchen &

The family of Jean Jeffrey share her passing on August 5, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 101.
Loving wife of the late R. John Jeffrey.
Daughter of the late Norman and Hazel Metcalf. Predeceased by brothers Alvin and Harvey, and sister Mildred. Dear mother of John (Linda), Glenn (Joanne) and Janet (John). Grandmother of Lisa, Lori, Jennifer (Jason), Shawn and Kevin (Vanessa). Great grandmother of Lila, Tessa, Braydon, Allivea and Zachary.
Raised in Maple Grove, she chose nursing as her career. She was a longtime member of Northminster United Church in Oshawa and Trinity United Church in Bowmanville. She was also a member of the U.C.W. and Lioness Club in Bowmanville.
Mom was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, watching TV, the Oshawa Generals and Toronto Blue Jays, playing cards with neighbours in the condo and at the B.O.A.A.
She also spent countless hours quilting, crocheting and cross stitching.
As per her wishes a private service will be held.
JASMA, Brian J. -
Passed away in Oshawa on July 15, 2024, at the age of 54.
Brother of Joseph Jasma.
Uncle of Christopher and Brandon Jasma.
As per Brian’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, and cremation has taken place.

JACKSON, Douglas Colin - Passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen, Guelph, ON, on July 28, 2024, after a lengthy journey with Dementia.
Predeceased by his mother, Thelma and father, Rowland of Toronto, ON.
He is survived by his daughters, Charlene and Cindy.
Melanie has been by his side through the years and will miss his humour and caring nature.
At Doug's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara. Loving father of Stephen (late Richelle) and Christopher (Nancy).
Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jacob, Alec, Jordan, Quianna, Brittney, Richelle, Emma and the late Joshua and his great-grandchildren Tavez, Addilyn and Brooks.

John passed away suddenly at age 67 on June 18, 2024. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul Henry Nicholas (1974) and Ethel Edith Nicholas (nee Achtima Skoreiko) (2013) and baby sister Elizabeth Nicholas (1947). John is survived by his sister, Irene Wendy Nicholas, and by his brother, Peter Brian Nicholas.
John was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and resided at the family home address his entire life. John was a dedicated Operator (Bus Driver) with the Edmonton Transit System for just under 43 years and received many Safe Driving Awards. Many vacations were enjoyed in Jasper National Park. John loved and was loved by many friends and relatives, but never married. He always looked forward to the Stuff-A-Bus Campaign and bus tours of Candy Cane Lane.
John was born on Earth Day, and so had a green burial graveside service at the Northern Lights Cemetery in Edmonton on June 28, 2024. Many thanks to our Cousin Rev. Don Nicholas and his son, Rev. Dr. David Nicholas for officiating. Thanks to Cousin Lawrence Wasilenko, Trinity Funeral Home staff, and the Groundskeepers for their assistance. Thanks also to his niece, Lynn Nicholas, and her sister Melissa Wright for assisting with several behind-the-scenes tasks.
John is sadly missed by friends John Lyons, Daryl Wasilenko, Riostita Medina, Tiffanie Yong, Chris Pinch, Della Joseph, ETS Mitchell Garage staff, and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 569 staff, to name but a few.

Riverview, N.-B.– C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Jeannette Bourque, 81 ans, du Manoir McNair, Riverview, le jeudi 25 juillet 2024, au Centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L-Dumont, Moncton, N.-B.
Née à Moncton au Nouveau-Brunswick, elle était la fille de feu Willie et de feu Dorice (Richard) Bourque. Elle avait de nombreux frères et sœurs. Jeannette se démarquait par sa personnalité adorable et charmante.
Avant sa retraite, Jeannette était une infirmière bien connue et respectée à l’hôpital et a terminé sa carrière à la Villa du repos à Moncton. Elle était connue de beaucoup au cours de sa carrière en raison de sa bienveillance et de sa passion pour aider les autres. Le rire contagieux et la personnalité pétillante et joyeuse de Jeannette resteront à jamais gravés dans nos cœurs.
Elle manquera beaucoup à sa fille, Lise Aubé de Riverview; par son fils, Roland Robichaud (Nicky) d’Ottawa, ON; par ses petits-enfants: Stéphane, Sophie, Finn et Charlotte; par ses arrière-petits-enfants: Sean, Emily et Emmett; par sa sœur, Pauline Hope (Gary) de Moncton; par ses frères: Ronald Bourque (Eileen) de Hamilton, ON, Roger Bourque (Laura) et Gerry Bourque (feu Elizabeth), tous deux d’Ottawa, ON, Victor Bourque (Denise) et Henry Bourque, tous deux de Moncton, ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux.
Elle fut précédée par son ex-époux, Paul Robichaud et par son frère, René.
Les visites et les funérailles auront lieu à une date ultérieure.
L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.

Passed away at Oak Ridges Hospice on Thursday May 23rd, 2024 at the age of 68. Survived by his life partner Catherine Hind.
Much loved Dad of Sarah Shestowsky, Lindsay Shestowsky, Jennifer Tupper and her husband Glen, Winston Hind and his wife Miho, Stephan Hind and his wife Rachelle and Madison Hind.
Grandfather of Griffin, Calvin, Riley, Lyra, Kai, Maxamillion.
Brother-in-law of Andrew Poxon and Mark Poxon. Predeceased by Helen and Edward.

Johanna Fung (Correia).
Named after her grandmother who loved her dearly, Joanie was loved by all. Johanna had been married to husband, Derek for just over 50 years. She was a proud mother to Dominique, Elliott, and Daniel. Grandmother to Jasmine, Kristen, and Lauren. She was the beloved sister of Cecelia and Lawerence. She was a neighbour to many and “Grandma” to all. Johanna was born in Georgetown, Guyana, June 19th 1946. She called Kincardine home for many years, and settled in Oshawa. Johanna was always singing, dancing, and laughing. She was a great cook and made the best black cake anywhere from Guyana to Canada. She made friends wherever she went and loved them dearly. She passed in the early morning of the 24th of May 2024.
Visitation will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Road N, Whitby, on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 10:00 am one hour prior until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am in the Barnes Chapel. Interment to take place following the service at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. Everyone is then welcome to join the family for a reception back at the funeral home.
